Finally got my Amstrad CPC464 with color screen and TV modulator to run other things into the Amstrad monitor via RF.

Had to mess with the power a little bit removing the connector for the 644 screen, normally the modulator connects into the front of the 644 Monitor to get its power. However my screen is the 640 without the extra 12v output, had to crack the modulator open and disconnect existing and then use an old router plug with 12v end, clip the end off it and then solder it directly onto the board, worked nicely though and now have mains for it, I have managed to run my SNES and Atari ST on the Amstrad screen using it already.

Next test is to see if it will hold my Spectrums signal properly for more than 10 minutes without needing to fine tune again!

I had an interview today that went really well, they'll let me know tomorrow apparently. I really want this job as well, it's for the manufacture and set up of seismic equipment that is generally used at sea; things like oil monitoring and overboard alarm systems. They also make linux servers that are used in oil rigs and sea vessels. It's cool work and they're all really nice people. So heres hoping.

Got a condescending email from an employee basically sounding pretty peeved about a review I left.

My review was something along the lines of

"Quality questionable, be gentle very easy to break" to something that turned up broken.. and then broke even more assembling because it was so terrible.... saving someone £6 right??

He went along the lines of "Its a best seller we barely have any in stock it always gets good feedback, you must just be very rough and amateur at these things" along with other patronizing douche comments.

    My reply:

"You have 137 currently in stock and 0 reviews, I refuse to believe that"

I know my review won't be accepted but I still leaned back in my chair with a unjustified sense of satisfaction (which led to my chair castor breaking and me almost breaking my neck) karma?

Had three great dates with three great girls in the span of two weeks.

I'll probably be posting in the "ruining your life" thread come decision-time, but for now I'm pretty kicked.

This might explain the population overload in India, to some extent...

In 20 days I will be presenting my finished Dissertation project to around 40 engineering company's suited and booted, so much work and love has gone into this I can't wait to just stand there and show it off.

My supervisor is telling me about ways I can get company's talking so they can see my potential and offer me a position given 25% will be hiring and another 15% will hire if they see something special, he thinks I can do it no problem (with brands and firms I would love to work for).

If I can pull off a job and finish my degree before I'm 22 I will be looking good for the future :)
