So after nearly two years of me being a lazy ****, I got into it with the RS the last few weekends.

I'd forgotten how much I liked that noise.

 

Got offered a new job today! Only finished my last job (6 month contract) 2 weeks ago and this is a permanent role! Gotta find somewhere to live in Gloucester now!

It does pay to question consultants decisions.

Just back from seeing my first female ENT surgeon and very tidy she was too. I questioned whether I needed a septoplasty and more importantly if I did have it what was I going to do about breathing as my nose would be out of action and I have great difficulty breathing through my mouth for any length of time.

Good news as she said I certainly did not need a septoplasty as it would have absolutely no impact on my nasal issues. So 7th July under the knife is off. A couple of other things to try to sort the issue out if no help then another type of op may be necessary.

Just the TURP to look forward to now.

 

Striking up an unexpected conversation with a pork scratchings sales/delivery chap in the pub which resulted in a full-on pork scratchings demonstration including free samples.

It's been three years since I moved back to India from the USA and I miss meat-based snacks more than anything else. Jerky, scratchings, even bloody Slim Jims.

You're luckier than you realise

 

I told my boss I had no work, so now I'm leaving the office to go on a survey. Hooray for not just sitting here wasting time on the internet! The day would last forever if I did that.

Three day weekend!

Just finished up my 4 day week, quickly head back pack up the car and head home.

I go home every weekend but it seems to zoom by too quickly when i do half a day friday.

 

Took the RS for a very short test drive and ho-boy. I forgot how much I enjoyed the whole experience.

 

I'm finished college for a couple of months. I'm just so happy right now, that its over for a while. Part time college is a beeeeeeaaaaatch.

 

Trip to St Petersburg might be off, but trip to UK is ONNNNN.

 

Lying here in bed with my cat Millie purring in my ear. All is right with the world.

 

Being Sunday, I let my children watch some cartoons. We have Sky Television. My middle daughter of 4 wants to watch this one particular channel 'Tiny Pop'. It broadcasts stuff like my little pony and old cartoons no other channel will take the rights to because they suck. Things like 'milly molly', they're all pretty awful. They turn to me and say "dad, can we watch Boomerang?".

My children would rather watch a 40 year old Bugs bunny cartoon or Tom and Jerry than My Little Pony or any of the other awful programming on other channels. I feel as though i'm doing something right as a parent.

 

RS Failed the MOT. However.

MOT tester is an RS owner and we talked about the settings on my car's turbo. I tweaked it tonight and holy **** does it motor even more now.

The things that need fixing are rust and things I can handle, but the rust is gonna be expensive. Goddamn plastic sills.

Heart to heart with my Dad. We'd both admit we've never been particularly close, and were both surprised at how the conversation turned out (it was unintentional) but lovely all the same. Found out a few things I didn't know. Also being helped in job hunting and career progression by a few lovely people has really cheered me up.

 

I'll get to walk again, as I can afford my braces thanks to Bit.
