In fairness, you can say the same thing about insurance. What you really need to look at is the expected utility, not the expected raw monetary gains.

Nice. I'm upgrading to Vivid in early December, along with the top-end TV package (minus Sky movies & sports). The other half gets VM partner offers so we'll save about £250 on the total contract cost.

It took a couple of weeks for our connection to settle down, we started getting about 115 and it has steadily increased to this which, considering the package is a 200Mb/s one, I am not complaining about. The 12Mb/s upload is pretty musy spot on, would be nice to have a bit more but hey, can't complain.

You are right, it is very nice of them. I would love to live by the sea, my little boy would love that. I think he is actually a fish!

Good news: Tumour markers are still 'normal' (Whatever normal is). Oncologist is confident that's the end of that chemo ****.

Other news: Two nodes/glands/whatever he said are "unusual", but they and everyone at some weekly meeting think it's a reaction to the treatment because they don't look cancerous, but I'll need them biopsied/removed to be sure they're not. So I guess another op is on the cards, but it doesn't sound bad.

    That's excellent news.

Forgive the somewhat selfish nature of this but that's just what I needed to hear, today marks the year after losing my mother-in-law to cancer so hearing great news from someone who's given it a whooping gets two big thumbs up from me.

So long as they don't suggest I have a foot removed while I'm at it, I don't mind what they opt to do!

At 745 this morning I was out on Bellingham Bay in a kayak with my friend Scott. I got off work and 0630 and he got off and 7 and we decided "screw it, lets go paddle". Nothing spectacular, paddled a few miles in an hour and a half and saw some river otters, but still, it was a pretty cool thing to do after work.
