A day after re-TIMing my mobo's heatsinks, tonight I found the Swiftech NB heatsink I was looking for.

    But...

thankfully it's too tall (interferes with the CPU cooler) so I couldn't have used use it anyway. Unless I saw some of the fins (actually rods) in half. Hmm.

Though there's evidently something up with the left-hand monitor, gamma/brightness isn't the same as the others, even though they're identical models. I have a feeling it's the cable, gonna test that tomorrow.

I fixed my monitor issue; was just a duff cable.

Nice to have matching gamma/contrast/brightness across all three. Once I get a second desk riser and put them at the height they're supposed to be I can re-calibrate them.

It's a small thing, but today I set up a (CUPS) print server in a jail of my FreeNAS box for an old Lexmark laser printer (~2003) and connected it to a bunch of PCs with different versions of Linux and Windows and it just... works. From the first try.
I fully expected, and was mentally preparing for, a bunch of troubleshooting, endless trudging through ancient forum threads and cursing at words on my monitor, but none of that turned out to be necessary. I can hardly believe I'm not dreaming. Could 2016 be the year all software and hardware starts to work together harmoniously?

Had my appointment today for the camera down my throat, and all was clear so hopefully that means no more operations :D

Only downside to it was, that because I am allergic to Banana's I couldn't have the throat spray to numb my throat and because I didn't fancy spending the day in hospital I couldn't have the sedative thing either, so had to have it done with nothing which was not nice.

Still getting the all clear was worth it, but now I just have to convince my doctor that I need to stay on the tablets I am on and try to find something to stop the diarrhea that randomly hits me, either every couple of days or weeks.

Today my shitbox of a car passed it's MOT first time!
That's only the second time that's ever happened to me in almost twenty years of driving.
