I reckon I've found a solid technique to get yeast dough to rise. Something I've had trouble with previously.

But you are not going to share this new found knowledge? Though i must admit my bread making days, unsuccessful as they were are long over. You are talking about bread making right?

Well pizza dough, but its largely the same idea.

Basically boil up a saucepan of water, put a lid on it and stick it on the floor of the (turned off) oven, put the kneeded dough on a rack above it. Make sure the bowl holding the dough covered tightly with cling film so as odours from the oven don't leach in to it. The oven is never turned on, its just a box for this purpose. That's basically it. It's like a hot press but slightly hotter. Dough puffed up to double its size in maybe an hour or even less.

    Backups.

First time in a long time I've had to call upon one, but one of the latest 2012R2 updates killed my server, and restoring a system image from last month (zero rate of change at a system level, so no need for more frequent) unkilled it. The feeling of getting bailed out by a backup is a good one.

Now I just need to figure out which update it was, and why. I suspect it's related to the boot sector tweakery needed to boot from an SSD in the optical bay in the Microserver as a data-only restore didn't resolve but a format and re-image did.

Er. Is this a Gen8 microsever by any chance? Good thing I haven't done the SSD thing yet, as my backup schedule is somewhat...lax...!

Ah that makes more sense, pages of therapy was what came up when I googled CBT. I think Google might be trying to tell me something.

I can't believe I forgot to post this here... I won an award ('Best Young Journalist') at the Royal Aeronautical Society two weeks ago. It was incredible, and I was only in the UK by chance. Very gratifying to have people you look up to in your field recognise your work.

Bought a pair of Skinny & Super Skinny jeans....

To most would be an automatic negative reaction to either trivial happiness, Jean tightness, being a hipster or overall hatred to the youth.

To me its small steps to being more confident...

Damn are these jeans comfy... Yeah they're tight but being a very tall guy with an average upper body they compliment me much better than straight or slim fit jeans. I walked out the door like i was half naked but within a good 10 minutes i felt great

    Feeling pretty darn good
