Car passed the MOT. Wife told the guy at the test centre that she was thinking of selling it and he said she would be crazy. He's never seen a Mini of that age with so few miles on it nor as well cared for. He said the car basically wants for nothing (it's 10 yrs old btw) and that the only tiny thing he could find was some pitting on the rear brake discs where we use it so little.

So that's good. I can switch out the discs if needs be.

Got this up in the air today with no mishaps/crashes. Seems pretty stable, though I don't know wtf the GPS thinks it's doing - as soon as I put it in GPS hold it drifts. So no GPS for now, but it's probably not impossible to fix that. Some more calibration/testing to do, and I have to tune the PID on the gimbal, but it seems to be working pretty well so far.

Nintendo Confirmed development of Metroid Prime 4. I love that series, so it's pretty awesome. Only downside is that I don't like the idea of buying a Switch, because they suck.

    Frozen shoulder starting to thaw.

Pain has turned to an ache and maybe I'll have full movement back in the next couple of months.

By complete coincidence, as a sidenote in a conversation about something on the news, I just found out a fascinating bit of old family history which obviously has been massively influential on my father's side of the family and explains a lot of things.
It's a tragic event and a deep family grudge (my dad went from 0 to furious just mentioning it, and this is something from 3 generations back before him), so I'm not sure I should be calling this "awesome", but scouring the internet for scraps of information and old newspaper scans has been very interesting.

There's bullet damage from the second world war in the side of our house and I walk past it pretty much every day, yet WW2 has never felt so close, so relevant before.
If I wasn't in the middle of my exams I would be researching the **** out of this.

Best profit on analog camera stuff yet, a total ~€500 profit on a €200 purchase. :D
It's tempting to keep buying (and selling) higher "tier" cameras but I've told myself this will go towards a planned scandinavia trip (have yet to decide exactly where) with some great friends this september, which will be more awesome than any photo gear. :)

3 and a half weeks without a PC was enough, and actually given me a chance to get excited about doing a bit of gaming again!

Well done, it is a great feeling. My first build was beset with a short between mobo and metal case, but that was a good few years ago.

The forum, it lives! :DThis must have been the longest time I haven't checked the forums in at least a few years.
(And the past few days also made me notice just how many times a day I usually log in)

Hue bulbs. I've had a few Hue bulbs for a while, but I bought a "White Ambience" bulb recently (basically it lets you change the colour temperature) and it's freakin' awesome. I don't know why I didn't get one sooner. I want an RGB bulb but they're £50 each

Finally being able to sign in with the new forum. My server would block me from at the logon screen on the old forum.

Heading over the Las Vegas in August for the weekend of the McGregor vs Mayweather fight!

First time travelling outside of Europe!

Couldn't get tickets for the fight itself as they're insanely expensive, but there for the atmosphere and spectacle of it all.
