Me and the missus are looking after my 10 and 8 year old sisters for the weekend - hard work, but always fun (and good practice). Part of me is hoping it rains so I don't have to spend hours in the play park, but then I feel mean and hope it's sunny again.

Being out at the park with two kids >>>>>>> being stuck in the house with two kids.

    Trust me.

Nah, if it's just for the day and you're stuck indoors, you can kill a couple of hours with a laptop and Youtube cat videos.

At the park you can kill a whole afternoon with a football. Play a bit of footy, go get some ice cream or something then maybe some footy after.

    Did a thing...

Made a bash script that spits out my daily schedule at 0900 weekdays, via my Dymo label printer stocked with non-adhesive namebadges. Winning!

After many weeks of delays, extra interviews and waiting for call-backs, the wife was finally offered a position for a job she originally applied for nearly 5 weeks ago. She won't start until October, at which point she'll only be there a month or so before needing to stop for maternity, but it will make the run up to Christmas (and baby birth) a hell of lot easier.

It's essentially a £300 a month pay rise for me when she starts earning enough to pay her half of the rent, so I'm especially happy for her!

This hotel has a hob, a fridge, a dishwasher, a decent shower, a microwave, it's crazy.

For 75 Euros. I'm not sure what's going on.

Baby is still down for his nap, Pick the missus up in just over an hour, come home for some food. Bang on a jacket and straight to the pub for some much needed pints and live music with my future brother in law

The last few months have been pretty shitty, losing a few members of my family in very quick succession with money woes and general frustrations has aged me a good 10 years.

It'll be nice to have a few hours out and not think about those things, just enjoy music and lager!

I don't seem to spend much time in the flat I rent with my two mates since I met my partner Vicky. This is the first weekend I've actually been here in probably 6 months and I'd forgotten how totally awesome my Yamaha AV amp sounded when playing some banging classic trance music when hooked up to my Tannoy Mercury V1 Speakers :D

Belated happy burfday mate. Soon you'll actually be as old as you look.*

*having never seen you I'm basing this purely on uneducated guesswork so it must be true

After running to make the connection as our first flight was delayed we got to the gate with 8 minutes before takeoff.

The check in duo said no.

Then they said no two or three times more, in a nice way but still essentially 'DENIED!'

I think the groundstaff guy took pity (I shouldn't really be running) and said it was fine.

Onboard we went and home I got. Yay.

Bags are a different story but whatever.
