Well, won't you feel silly when you find out I'm dashingly handsome and youthful looking?!

It's true. My mum said so.

I had to work Friday and Saturday but Tuesday is my day off, so it's still a three day weekend!

    Updated the thing:

That's right: Google Calendar integration! (I've tweaked it since then to include UK holidays on the schedule, too.)

Don't think I can add much more without sacrificing the cow and/or the header, 'cos the typeface is already at flyspec-four - don't want to have to mount a magnifying glass to the keyboard in order to be able to read it!

The cow is saved! Between the increased CPI so I could squeeze the schedule on and using the abbreviated day name, I've halved the number of lines required for the header.

    IMG_20180826_114332.jpg

    EDIT:
Shrunk the headers and handled no-task-found conditions better. Bags of room, now - wonder what else I can add on there?

    IMG_20180826_120136.jpg

Now I just need to find the control codes that'll let me do bold/underline/italics on the Dymo 450 itself...

    EDIT EDIT:

Quick -W 30 on the cow and a run through columns and I've even more space now!

    IMG_20180826_185305.jpg

Absolutely failed to figure out an easy way of doing word-of-the-day, though. I mean, I can just shuf -n1 a dictionary file, but to get the definitions too... I may end up using sudocabulary with 1337 h4x.

You could add "portmanteau word of the day". Twazzock could be a good one to start with.

    I didn't realise the IoW had a Hall of Mirrors. :p :)

We now know what the cow says but what about the fox?

I've never seen Golden Syrup over here, but it seems Walmart USA sells it. I'll have to snag a can, next time I cross the border.
For now, best I can do is maple syrup or Grenache (oldschool caramel spread).

Golden syrup could work. I love it on pancakes and York puds are essentially baked pancakes.

If I had to live in a world with one of them, it would be pancakes, but the only difference in the batter I use is I add a bit of melted butter for pancakes. And that's not even essential.

    FTFY!

    @TheBlackSwordsMan
You can make Golden Syrup by boiling up sugar and making it acidic - I've seen it demonstrated on YouTube, better stick to the real thing though. Much more viscous than Maple syrup with a distinctive delicate flavour that isn't just sweet. Here in the UK, Lyle's GS is the stuff to have, it's a sacred animal in my family! [along with Bird's Custard...]

Balls! That was meant to be without! I hate it when I get a roast dinner with no Yorkshires. What am I supposed to hold the excessive amount of gravy in that I need?

Also, I just cooked dinner for a proper chef (as in Michelin star quality) and he loved it
    Even had seconds!

spent most of today sitting in front of the cintiq with a cool breeze and a hot mug of tea next to an open window, happily painting away to the sound to the rain drumming on the sheet covering my atv.

    ****ing bliss

Forgiven, even if that is a Trumpesque excuse. :)

Phew, I was starting to doubt reality for a while there... Moreso than usual.

Awesome, hope you still made them do the washing up. :)

I fly out to Sweden on Monday morning - my flights, hotel, and UK transfers are all paid for... It is for work, but it's the first time I've left the UK since I moved back in 1994. It's both awesome and weird at the same time; I've lived in so many different places* in my life that I feel like I've had more than enough of travelling but at the same time I'm really looking forward to it.

Not looking forward to the Swedish prices though - every damn penny I spend, even if it's 12kr on a coffee, is getting claimed in expenses.

Oh, and getting up at 0230 on Monday, that doesn't sound like fun either - might just be easier to pull an all-nighter...

*In order: South Wales, Scotland, North Wales, The Netherlands, Germany, back to South Wales (and then to 4 different cities/towns in Wales)...

I did the opposite once when leaving Sweden, pulled an all nighter... er technically I was working night shift so I am not sure if it counts.

Turned out to be an interesting trip home as I had a 5 hour layover in Heathrow, found a lovely bench in a quite hallway with no arm rests in between the seats and settled down for a 4 hour nap... until I was woken by security. I'd deposited my carry on bag behind the bench after confirming it was not visible to any one walking up or down the hallway. I did not count on the lovely big window behind the bench and one of the ground crew reporting seeming unattended luggage. So glad I was in the UK and not USA. The officer was very pleasant and understanding and explained the situation. The biggest issue was that I was so groggy with sleep the officer spent several minutes (that I am aware of) trying to confirm if I spoke English. This interruption in sleep might have been a blessing in disguise, as following my conversation with security I was unsure if I'd have woken to my alarm. Plus I had gotten a solid 2.5 hours of sleep and was now felling hungry.
