I’ve had the same Corsair headset for years and despite the ear pads being a bit wore they work absolutely perfectly. Apparently i purchased them in 2013 for like £50… well 5 years… i don’t know it’s just awesome! to celebrate i think i'll print them a stand tomorrow =)

After a few months of procrastination and internal debate, I've finally lit the space marine helmet eyes. I didn't go for full lighting like a lot of costumes do, because I used a blue-tint motorcycle helmet visor for the whole affair, so it already has colour to it.

It doesn't look much different, but it is! I toyed with lighting from the underside of the lenses, too, but that was too bright. This felt like a reasonable compromise of light and not blinding me on the other side.

Just helped out a neighbour with some router problems, and got given a huge box of Lego for free along with potentially a big pile more. Heaps of sets mixed up in boxes but she's got all the original instructions books so I ought to be able to dig a pile out! And it's a mix of Star Wars which I'll try to build and Police and other bits which I'll make sure my little one gets!

A good day's work there, Cerb.
I love the Test Hill, haven't been to Brooklands for years.
I went to a Midget & Sprite day there and took some great photos of a seriously modded Frogeye airborne at the top of the test hill.
It's pretty steep at the top, but that banking on the main circuit....

Tried to walk up the banking, didn't get to the top, :D bout broke my leg trying to get down, :D :D

Something I've been working on for bit-tech may finally see the light of day after about 6 months or so. Should be interesting if all goes as I believe is currently the plan. So much planned. The last 3 months of the year are going to be amazing not only for me but the community here if I can get everything to go as planned.

    Colour me intrigued.

Bit early to start an end of year blowout but, hey, change with the times and all that. I'm in.

More of starting things the next few months that will continue into the future than massive things. Just one of them means more to me than it will to others.

Had a blast at my 50th Birthday celebration on Saturday night. It was a joint party with one of my LAN buddies whose birthday is a few weeks before mine; we have kids the same age who have been friends since nursery, and our boys are rapidly heading for 18!

We started prep work at his house in earnest on Friday afternoon; putting up the gazebo, decorating the trees with lights and sorting multiple bluetooth speakers to play the Spotify party playlist.
Saturday morning saw the rest done, with the hog roast arriving just after lunch.

Time for a quick shower and change and we were there at 6.30 ready for guests at 7.30.

We walked home about 2am and left stragglers in the summer house enjoying a last drink, got to be at 2.30 with sore feet but happy.

Clear up started Sunday mid morning and was done pretty quickly, including a run to the bottle bank; home in time for Sunday roast and an hour on the beach watching the tail end of the air festival.

What really made it awesome (other than a garden party with hog roast on a beautiful late summer evening...) was the cakeage:

This amazing LAN party cake appeared late evening, complete with 5 and 0 candles to blow out

Not content with that, our daughters had been baking in secret one day last week and created a couple of dozen of these little gems:

That's right PUBG airdrop / care package cupcakes complete with 'red marker smoke' buttercream icing :jawdrop:

I feel a really lucky guy to have supportive and caring family and friends - getting old is inevitable, but it doesn't have to get you down

That's exactly what Chris Evans would say. (Well, no, he'd probably be all "don't you know who I am? I'm Chris Evans!")
