I used to get paid on, or close to, the 24th. Basically whenever my boss could be arsed to make an effort.

If that fell awkwardly at Christmas I could be paid almost a week before that. It made the January payday seem much, much, further away.

My payday bounces around considerably, being the last working Friday in any given month.
This means it can be anytime from the 21st - 31st, which makes paying bills regularly... fun.

Same boat here, was last paid on the 21st, so i'm eagerly looking forward to both this months pay, and the shorter month up to Feb's pay (and March too, looking at how the days work out!).

I normally get paid on the 28th but December's pay came through on the 21st. I didn't realise that when I checked my bank account on Christmas Eve and for a fleeting moment thought I was rich :D Then I realised what had happened and came crashing back down to earth!

Couple of telephone interviews lined up for next week. Totally bricking it TBH; it's a change of direction from what I've been doing over the last couple of years, and these roles represent a not insignificant pay rise. If this career shift doesn't work out I'm going to take a long hard (hurr hurr) look at the contractor market. My notice period will be a problem for getting that all-important first contract, but at the rates I could potentially be earning... yeah, I'd be stupid to ignore it.

    TO THE PUB!

I won a $60 vitaly bracelet on eBay for 99p.... seller has sold other pricey goods on the cheap (cuz 1 bid) so not expecting a cancelled order quite yet. We'll see though, He has some other Vitaly pieces as buy it nows for upwards of £30 so this could have been a mistake that just slipped through the net and I might just get lucky.

I also get paid on Thursday which is tops.

Just discovered GOG.com's Reclaim Your Game, and as a result was able to turn my physical copy of STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl (Collector's Edition, fact fans!) into the GOG DRM-free version with bonus goodies. Huzzah!

So that's why it took me almost an hour longer than usual to get to work today!

(Disclosure: I live about 45mins from work on a normal day)

I've been meaning to speak to the water company about replacing my stop tap; they've just gone and done the whole street, what a result!
