So most of us have seen the "Share your Christmas list" thread, but since crimbo has just arrived, what did you actually get? I'll start this off: -Nvidia XFX 6600GT -Photoshop 7 Down and dirty tricks book -Music vouchers and some other stuff which I can't open till the morning.
I got 2 pairs of new trainers (88 ShoeCo and Globe) some car mats, bout £200 and clothes DVD's vouchers etc, thats what my rents got me (aka I chose) and the money from cards etc atm...gotta wait and see what else I got in my presents tommorow... No...no computer related stuff, not that geeky - M@

dont you people wait and tresure the xmas experiance (TMM not included as it has been xmas for 10 hours for him ) nothing better than sitting round the tree handing out gifts to each other
I asked for the 6600GT and my grandma made me put it on her faves list, so I knew I'd got that, and we always open one present on Christmas eve, sort of a tradition. Plus the music vouchers I know I have because the receipt was in a bag that the prezzies were in.
jeeze, how do you guys manage to get computer parts for christmas? If i asked for a radeon x800 pro, my parents would come back with a radeon 9200se...... I never ask for computer parts for christmas anyways, becuase im much too picky on brand/specs/price/revision ect to let anyone else buy me computer parts.
Nothing, i havent asked for anything I'll buy some DVDs in january though, and im just happy to be fed well and watered whilst i work at home tbh. I'll probably end up playing with my brothers gifts anyway
I really didn't want anything either this year so anything I do get really will be a suprise. I've always hated it how parents ask what you want (and always given up in the end and said something) though looking at it from their point of view they don't want to get you something that will just be shoved in a cupboard along with grannies jumper and socks from your aunt. It's a pity christmas is so comercial. Strangly though I know what my parents could do with more than I they know what I could do with (other than job, house, car, etc... ), got my dad a new drill (the old one was about to kill him) + bottle of Glava and my mum some womany kitchen thing + bottle of Baileys (notice the recurring theme of alcohol in my family). My brother gets a decent bike lock and a hangover from hell and the taste of vomit from keeping up with me drinking tonight, though to be honest he is only just 18 and I am a veteran borderline alcoholic (i.e. bout to finish 5 years at uni)... Did anybody read that '7 things that are wrong with Christmas' in The Times? Was funny and so very, very true...
I found an SLI board for sale so I ordered myself that as well as a 6600GT and 939 3000+. Nice thing to find xmas eve. As for actual gifts, I suppose I'll find out in about 12 hours depending when I wake up. Edit: iPod 20GB thinkgeek caffeine hoodie crapload of misc cash and checks nice drill really nice digital multimeter with (p)leather case break-window-in-case-of-driving-into-a-lake hammer finally redid the iPod playlists... I was using anapod explorer and then tried to mess with something in iTunes which kindly erased every song I had loaded onto the thing, probably 3000 or so... that sucked.
not yet Xmas here... but I have gotten about $100 so far through the maill... let you know in a few hours.

Well. I won't be opening my pressies for about 6 hours, but I do know that they aren't all at home under the tree. The glorious Royal Mail has managed to loose 1 of my Girlfriends pressies & 2 of mine! They were all ordered over 10 days ago. In fact my girlfriends one was ordered over 3 weeks ago. Still it's funny how they manage to deliver my credit card bills etc on time.

(about $100 worth...) and that's just from today. going to fiance's folks tomorrow. think i'm gonna be getting a gift card or two (frys and/or home depot). as for giving: dad got a new computer (i think he got upset when i lughed at his old one... so i built him one. nothing special, but better than the one he had). aunt and uncle on mum's side of the family got 5 pounds of BBQ and 2 jars of sauce. gran got photos and cards. bro got new speakers for his computer (his were so ridiculously tinny... he said now he can annoy his neighbors with bad 80's hair metal.). better half's folks got mostly gift certs, and we are gonna get together with all the other kids and grandkids for a family portrait manana. fiance got a new wallet (her's was falling apart), some plush microbes, and i paid off her cell bill, and put some $$$ down on her wedding dress.
still christmas eve here but my girlfriend gave me a 1gb usb mem stick probably the only good thing ill get since i didnt ask for anything
tbh that's the way.. although i wouldnt buy clothes as they are waste of money imo. I don't know what iv got, only been awake 30mins and its only 8.45.. - Sc0
