Did civil engineering at uni, never worked as one. I'm an IT contractor nowadays, no relevant qualifications but I'm somewhere between MSDST - MCSE level I guess. Things like SC clearance, CCNAs & MSCEs are probably more in demand than people with degrees atm in certain areas of IT, although there are still companies who will only employ grads for stuff like 1st/2nd line support.
I'm doing BSc Computer Games Development at swansea. It's a fun course, but it doesn't matter as I'm gonna be a rockstar
Final year HND Computing (then +1 year for my BSc) Though I am an apprenticeship working in IT Support in the local University whenever im not at college.
I did an MSci in Physics at Imperial and am doing a Phd in Organic Semiconductors there now. I like being a student! RoB
4 Yr BSc Management Sciences at Lboro Currently in second year, going off to Peugeot next year for year out working in HR.
Good luck! Finshed my MChem in Medicinal Chemistry last June and now ive just started an MPhil/PhD in orthopedics at UCL. Dont know if ill stay and see it through though. So most people are engineers of some sort. Unsupprising, it's not like we were expecting arts students. At least people are doing REAL degrees
stage 2 (read second year) Marine Technology with Hons Offshore Engingeering BEng. At The University of Newcastle Upon Tyne (and loving every min of it....g'Yaaaaarg)
did electronics at college with radio communication as a speciality. Now i work as a computer enginner. Don't use much of the things i learned as school. I use most of the stuff i learn form hobbys.
heh cheers hope i make it thru the 4 years... or at least the 3 got a 3 hour spectroscopy exam tomorrow, me no likey
alright hows this for size? a guy at my dad's office has a friend that has a degree in "snow managment" up in the northern regions of the states they aparently have need for snow manufacturing engineering for the artificial ski slopes... hows that for a worthless degree? im surprised, I realy thought we would have more people in graphical design/art Im headed for Comp-Sci I want to move back to the northwest and start a local ISP.
Yeah but if you can get one started that is actually good to the coustomers, then you have somthing going.
Im not actually IN UCL, ive never actually been there, yet, cause im in Zone 6, Stanmore at the Orthopedic hospital. Getting to Zone 1 is a pain in the arse.
