This is my current set up. the four screens at the top will be going. I may get a third 24" monitor I have a gtx580 I want to get a decent TV in front of my desk and play films / games on it. What would you do here?
Uhm wat? You might want to list some bullet points with what you actually wants us to answer. Might get a better response that way.
For triple screen you are better off with AMD Eyefinity. As for the rest of your post I have no clue as to what you are asking. Who's cliff?
Think I have found the problem with my PC switching off, the GPU temp is going up to high. Sure I am playing games on high res but I KNEW THIS, all gpus need to have water blocks air cooling just does not cut it, what have I got to do get anothr 580gtx sc ssc Cheesecake and spend £500 on a water cooling solution. Ive spent £1.8k so I am ready for BF2 in Oct but this PC sucks, really like to throw the gtx580 out of the box and get some thing else. My question was very simply I asked if I have a PC and three screens on my desk and wanted to connect out to a nice new TV what should I do, if I ebayed out this gtx580 and got a gtx590 (which I dont like the idea of, its going to be even hotter isnt it and its unclocked). When is the next generation of gpus out please, I need to sort this rig out before Oct. Only way I am able to play on high every thing at the moment with fan at 90, 100% speed.
All you said, what what would you do here? However I think your question was answered, go AMD for multiple screens. Of course you should work out your cooling situation as well if you can't run the single card at the moment. Also your posts are still confusing. You have a 3x24" monitor setup but you want to play your games on a TV? If you're just wanting to run your games on the TV and have a total of 4 monitors, your best bet would be to add another graphics card to power the desktop displays and run the gaming TV monitor off of a more powerful card (whether you keep what you have or not).
I want to know how I can run three screens on my desk for gaming and work and also hook up a TV for both gaming and movies when I am off my desk and sitting down on my couch... I just took the lid off the side of the 650d case to see if this has any impact on cooling, if it doesnt I will stick a deskfan pointing into my case. I knew this all along, you buy all this kit and it has the ability to do all of these lovely numbers but... the heat has to be delt with via proper cooling, I would have been better off keeping the i7 on the stock cooler with a +20% over clock and bought a proper water cooling solution for the gtx580. I am running shogun 2 at max ultra but the GPU has TWO fans on it, in a 650d all fans on max in a normal temp room.
