You using the stock A64 cooler? Was it a retail, boxed A64?

55 seems high. My overcloked 3400+ is currently at 37 degrees, and my room is currently around 29 degrees, and I've just been doing some video editing... it's normally around 30 degrees at idle, and I use the stock cooler. In fact.. I've no wish to change the stock cooler as I think it's brilliant.

Thermalright SLK-948u's are very good hsf's, couple that with a 80/92mm fan and you're laughing :)
