Freelance journalist, author, and photographer - the latter simply in support of the former. Prior to that, I spent most of the rest of my career as a sysadmin except for one brief - as in, two months - stint in retail.

I work part time in retail and do events and pr work as and when required. The later being what I'd rather be doing.

Supply Chain Project Leader for a defence company.

After a brief stint in Cost Engineering and Estimating (if 5 years brief), I'm back in Supply Chain & Procurement. I've mostly worked in Procurement, although I started out as an Electrical Fitter many years ago.

Interesting.. Who do you work for? I've just moved out of 2nd line to third in the last 6 month.

    I couldn't think of a better job :D :cooldude:

You must be good at getting sales, from the money you're spending on the Cinema room!

Until 5pm today; IT Technician in a secondary school.

So that's pretty much everything from fault diagnosis and repair, website design, Capita SIMS administration, backup and disaster recovery, Photoshop and media work (audio/video), security, software packaging, server wrangling, teacher tipping (like cow tipping only easier,) and just about everything else.

    After today, no frikkin' idea.

Business is terrible in my day job, but I do secretly rob everyone I save in my superhero exploits to make up for it.

Official title is IT Technical Specialist/SharePoint Technical Lead

My day-to-day involves SharePoint, SQL, VMWare, SAN, TMG/UAG, F5 BIG-IP, IIS, FTP, Veeam and other stuff I can't think of right now.

...and I actually like my job. That's something I've not been able to say for a few years before this one.

Senior Software Developer for a company that makes software for card machines in shops in the US.

Basically trying to stop the rampant fraud from the ridiculously insecure systems they use over there.

I don't really get to be particularly aloof in this game.
