    Tell me about it. My Maxima has a wimpy Japanese "beep beep" horn. Thinking about adding a train horn if I can find one for cheap.

    They've started putting zones in Manhattan where you can get a $100+ fine if you honk, to try to cut down on it. Doesn't work. At all. Around here, we don't see street signs like they're warnings, we see them like they're challenges.

    You would be suprised what a solid axle can do. :D

    Small and nimble is nice, but sometimes you have to have large and brutal. :thumb:

    That varies state to state. in ny, you wont pass yearly testing with those wheels on a newer car, however the older ones (25+) years old they basicaly show up and check brakes, people get around this by using regular wheels to test and swap them back out. They check far more than emissions as well, that includes tints and aftermarket modifications & rust.

    My car wont pass the test with a retuned ecu and cold air kit even though it emits less pollutants than stock retuned simply because its not approved by the clean air freaks. So I remove the tune and put the stock air box back on.

    Over here the emissions regs don't care what's done to the engine, as long as it passes the test.

    To be fair, the MOT that cars have to pass over here doesn't sound much more stringent than your tests.

    Iowa. F**king. Sucks.
    Them *******s have it so easy. My little Escort falls under some special Emissions bullsh*t and it winds up costing me like 100-200 for the emissions... ugh. I wish I could live there, lol. Sooo much easier on Title and Reg.

    @sui_winbolo, old buick?

    In Canada we have safety tests which is like seat belts, steering, brakes, no leaks, emissions test, etc. etc. plus car certification... If it doesn't pass safety, it can't be driven on the roads.

    As for the ridiculous cars jacked on 28 inch rims, they call them "donks" I believe, and I think they are the stupidest things ever... muscle cars are meant to be driven, not like like fake monster cars... waste of money and stupid in my opinion...

    Good eye! :thumb:

    Sadly those "donks" have taken to g-body cars like mine. :(

    Cutlasses, Regals, Monte Carlos, etc.

    Thankfully the Grand Prix is more rare among the g-body vehicles.

    I have been driving a new Ford Mondeo Titanium X 2l for the past couple of days. It's a demo car through work and I must say it drives really nicely. Only complaint is the seats aren't as comfy as my Laguna, but otherwise it's verrah nice! Not even 500 miles on the clock :)

    Sorry there's no pics. Might get one or two tomorrow before I hand it back :(

    Marilyn and I looked at Kia's before we bought our Hyandai Elantra. It was a toss up but Kia dealerships in Iowa where we go to visit family are as hard to find as a metric wrench on an Iowa farm.

    Good luck with the Kia.

    @jhanlon303

    I think you missed the disclamer and the Ford emblem lol. My car is a Sand-color '99 Ford Escort LX 4Dr Sedan (as pictured). I just couldnt find/take any pics of mine atm, so I googled the pics.

    @kenco_uk

    Which model? I looked at Ford's UK site and the 4 and 5 door models look to be the American Equivalent, The Fusion and/or Five Hundred. They look very nice.

    Can anyone say beeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaast?!

    2002 '52' Reg Skoda Fabia 'Silverline' (that's limited edition you know). 1.4litres and 16 of eastern Europe's finest valves. Used to be my mums. :hip:

    Took her for a wash and a hoovering today. The backdrop is the car park under my flat. Very exclusive location.

    The fast-maker. It has literally 'some' horsepower.

    I don't know where the badge has gone. Or if there ever was one on the engine. Maybe they take the VW badges off the engines when they get to the Skoda factory.
