They are EBC discs/rotors and have always been drilled like that for some reason, they are pretty crap though to be honest, I bought some back in the day for my Astra GSi when they were all the rage (as they looked the business lol)

They seemed good on the road and the Greenstuff pads seemed to bite a bit harder than standard but soon as done 1 track day I warped the hell out of them and the Greenstuff pads literally fell apart afterwards and I wasn't driving it that hard or braking later into corners either, they just couldn't take the heat, I've stayed well clear of EBC since on my other cars! :worried:

A white 1990 BMW 318 IS (E30 model). Purchased for the princely sum of 125 quid. The best 125 quid I've ever spent.

Being at work I can't post an image sadly. I'll try and sort something out later.

EBC's pads seem to vary on how tough they are by model, but a good set of standard pads on most cars can take some serious non-track hammering. For track work DS2500's would be my choice. That, and some brake ducting.

Thom: Pics! 318is for £125 is a bargain however you slice it, especially an E30 you lucky bugger!

Not suprised they died, greenstuff aren't for track use. You want Yellow or Red for that!

I've got Green on my Civic (as they don't create as much brake dust as OEM) and they are fine for normal road use lasting well and after they've warmed up a little they stop great.

Give me a second-hand 944 any day. Only £2K for one, and vintage insurance.

Im currently rocking a 107 courtesy car
On a serious note though its the most frugle thing ive ever driven, surprisingly comfortable to drive, i left lincoln this morning heading for saffron waldon, using the A15/A1/A14/M11 and some twisties and not once did it feel unsafe, and much quicker than it should be.

    Overall im really impressed tbh.

I've been following this thread since it was created and am eventually in the position to own a car and post it! I therefore present my first car, a very sensible Golf 2.0 GT TDi.
