had my mini on the rollers today to get it set up. I was planning on running 15psi, but the road operator and my good friend both said that the gearbox probably couldn't cope with the extra power, so we've left it at 11psi.

The power? - 142bhp @ 5200rpm. Not bad in a mini. And there'll be lots more to come when I upgrade my gearbox!

    here's an action pic..

Cheers. It's not going to see much action come winter time - prolific salt on the roads up here wouldn't do it any favors. Came in at a shade around 40x the price of my Volvo 240 ;)

Got some updated pictures of the Olds. A bit of scrubbing and all the dirt on the fan shroud and the front of the car is gone. You can also see that the old generator and batter have been replaced by a new alternator and battery. The air intake has been upgraded to 3" flex vent. It does a better job of getting cold air into the engine than the original one did, which was pretty much a long wide coil of wire covered in paper, which had accumulated a lot of holes. I actually couldn't find an OEM intake, so I made my own with about $5 worth of parts. RAM AIR and a ROCKET V8

The front shot. Note the completely badass quad headlights and cornering lights.

The engine shot. For a recap, it's an Olds 307 Rocket V8 with a Rochester Q-jet, a THM200-4R, and a 3.23 LSD rear end. In a lighter car, it would be killer power.

And the "DAMN that thing is long" shot, showing the 220" length of the car. For comparison, a GM Suburban, the largest SUV that GM makes, is 218".
