I wouldn't mind hearing a sound clip of the Larini on yours!
What!! That Elise could not take that power, if it was longer it would be great for drifting! Any of you guys seen that vid of an SLK 55 beat an Enzo? SLR engine...
Well, decided against a focus and got this little car, Renault Clio Billabong 1.4l 16v last week and sold the old car earlier today.
Got a bit of travelling to do in the next few weeks including going to Cornwall, Paris and Sheffield, that'll put it to the test!

* replace clutch

* treat the rust on boot (may buy a new one for a tenner and paint it)
* create stealth parcel shelf with 6x9s in ported box
* create stealth box for the sub
* light dash & white dials
* sports exhaust possibly twin exit (1 3 inch oval on each side)
* mesh debadged grill (with k&n induction pipe in grill)
* big bumper kit

* tinted rear lenses
* smoothed boot and doors, relocation of number plate to rear bumper.
* chrome lifters for boot and bonnet
Before you do any of that, you want to sort that rust out on your lower front wheel arch.. that's the first thing I see when looking at that car.
next thing is you need to get some nicer alloys
the ones currently on don't do the car any favours...
pookey - all the rust on the car will be sorted in due course, im probably going for a whole new tailgate (with no rust) and then go about smoothing over the license plate recess.
as for the rest of the rust ther is one patch on that wheelarch and one on the other side on the side skirt thing. nothing a bit of sanding, filler and paint cant sort.
webby - i personally like the alloys, they are super wide tyres for the car so the handling is vastly improved over stock. plus ill get better accelleration than if i went for 17s or 18s. Plus i can just refurb these wheels and paint them for less than 30 quid and they will look spankers again. (painting them white will give it a right rallyslag look )
No, white steelies and a stripped interior and no daft looking mods like a smooth tailgate will give it a rallyslag look.
Paint them black with a polished lip, or white with a black lip, imho.
If it pleases the people.
I give you EL GORDO!
My 1982 Austin Mini.
998cc A series 4 pot.
Stock pretty much.
K&N airfilter on a SU HS4 Carb.
10inch steel wheels.
Top speed (so far) about 80-85mph.
Finished in blue hammerite, Leyland blue and rust.
That's a real man's car, none of this Subaru rubbish
This is my car, it is a 1983 Pontiac Grand Prix Lj. It's been in the shop all summer long getting a different engine & tranny. What was put in was 1980 301 Trans Am v8 engine. So it has little bit more power then the previous v6. (the v6 was long gone, was knocking really bad.)
I just got done washing it, vaccuming, and dusting the interior. The only thing I now need is tabs and then I can start driving it. Hopefully I'll get them tommorow.
My plans as far as audio goes is to get a Pioneer p3800mp deck, Hifonics 1500d amp, and JL Audio w6v2 12" subwoofer. Also I need to install the driver side handle, it's broke so I have to go ghetto style and reach outside to open my door.
I admire your balls, sir.
still trying for 90mph......on private land that is.
Whats with the phone box?
(edit: yey 2,500 posts)

Nice, you don't get many 6-cylinder engines that small! I imagine it's quite a smooth engine?
