You had to pay just to work? I were lucky if it was whips n chains t back o legs all day. And I had to pay four shillings an hour f'privilege. And then it were back ome to a bath full o coal. Well, I say ome, it were a crack in the middle o road we lived in. With a piece o cardboard t keep rain off. Eeh, them were days.
I have a new one: Old people.... I know, this could cause an arguement or two, but it seems to me that old people these days are getting ruder and ruder than they used to. I can greet them with a smile and hello, and i may get a grunt, or nothing at all, there are exceptions of course, but if i greet students and younger families, i get cheerfull hellos and smiles..... and grunts, but less grunts, and more smiles. Sam
I'm frustrated at some people being very highly strung and taking offence at the very slightest thing.
Today reminded me of one of those things that really frustrate me.. people's inability to correctly navigate a 4 way Stop intersection. I don't know why it's so bloody hard to get the concept that, whoever stops first, goes first, and then whoever stopped after the first guy goes next, etc. Ugh.
people whom say that a peice of software i wrote is not working when getting told off by the bosses (pushing the blame onto others) when the software does exactly what they asked for in their requirements. Inefficiency!!!!! I was told on saturday that a Man whom used excel every day of his life for four years only found out that it added up just the other day (never mind all the other things) apparently previously he had been using a calculator! people whom make their problems sound bigger than they are People who get scared of every little thing (dont climb that tree you may hurt yourself. GRRRR) People whom complain, seek attention and rub even the most minor of injuries people that try to belittle others Bullying!!!!!! people that blatently Lie about things finally one of the most annoying things people whom have to have a story that is just one better than the one you told even tho you know they are full of S41T
Cyclists who ride side by side along busy A and B roads, just looking to be killed. Or cyclists who insist on riding along the road when there is a cycle path running parallel.
Oh I used to worry so much about this, thinking "is that offensive, could it be offensive?". As I age I just don't give a **** and it's great. I didn't mean it in a bad way so it wasn't - therefore it's not my problem.
people that talk really loudly on their mobile, i really dont care keep it down and people that answer their mobiles at their desk, take it outside people who leave their mobile on their desk at work and dont put it on silent. itll vibrate, youll hear it and then spend the day texting someone and leave it on loud for the whole conversation even though the know theyll keep getting texts. people that dont know how to indicate at roundabouts or dont. last nite someone was turing left, indicated right onto the roundabout then left to go left. once someone idicated three times just to go straight people that treat yeild signs as stop signs, especially on roundabouts. tailgating, hate it, allways brake when people do this to me. it takes longer to overtake if your right behind my bumper when you start. people that overtake just to do the exact same speed as the car they just overtook. people that drive too slow. do they not realise that there is never anyone infront of them but there are always 15+ cars in a line behind them?
It's perfectly legal to ride two abreast - if you're killing cyclists because of that then you're a bad driver. have you been on a cycle path recently? They're crap. It's my legal right to be on the road and it's a road bike, designed to be ridden on the road.
Umbrella's annoy me - they poke me in the eye! People that force their opinion on you and don't see the other side, its their way or no way Drivers not indicating Kids thinking there funny, smart for just being cheeky to their elders (aka my wee bro) Celebrity's
Anybody on the roads other than me. Frustration causes accidents, according to a sign I once saw, so it would be safest it every other car was removed from the road. Pedestrians too.
And we look at at the highway code section 66 If your riding two abreast on busy road please carry a donor card.
I don't want to start a massive cyclists vs cars arguement here, but you need to drive to the conditions. If you can't see far enough around the corner to react to an obstacle in time at the speed you are going then you are going too fast! edit: the highway code is not legislative either!
