Epic beard! Crazy bug!

I will show you a series of photos of my hair growing. Or rather, photos that happen to include me with various hair states.

Here is a photo of me when I was about 10 or 11.



Here is a photo of me when I was about 14, holding a kitten.



Here is a photo of me, about 17, playing my new Ibanez at Christmas.



And finally here is a photo of me wearing a suit for an interview.



Here is a bonus picture of one of my old kittens. His name was Clint Maxfield, and he stole that squirrel from next door's dog. Every time we threw it back over. Until we gave up.

Of course.

That was a day or so before the interview, actually. My dad just wanted photos of me looking smart, for once. It was in London, so I traveled the night before. All piercings were removed / hidden.

However, when I got called back for part two, I was asked to come as-is. Relatively casual clothing, etc. So they got left in for that one.

2.5 years of hair, gone. Been this way for about 3 weeks now. Hair is a tad bit longer. Love the fact I keep getting mistaken for a 20-some year old marine

 

I'm not actually allowed to shave mine off. I've been beardy for the last three years (since I met the other half). Just for one week I'd love to be able to be clean shaven every day, rather than just trimming the thing. Of course there's nothing really stopping me - except the grief I'd get!

Wait until she's fast asleep, shave it off, get back into bed then wake up as if everything is normal!

 

I too have been asked not to shave my beard, which is funny since she hated it when I first grew it in 1999. I shaved it once in 2004, and I caught so much grief for it that I quit the job that asked me to shave.

The problem is that you end up with a reverse tan line that makes you look like an idiot for a week and a half. You really need to trim it back slowly in stages and let the skin underneath get some UV before you take it all off.

 

Man, I wish I could trim my bloody soup-catcher. I almost have a pirate-mustache, and my beard is beginning to get unmanageable.

 

Yeah, my last gf wouldn't let me shave mine. Shaved it shortly into March.

Kinda wish I hadn't, in the end, because it's taken ages to get it back.

 

Trust me, that will cause more problems than it will solve! I quite happen to like my testicles right where they are, thanks

I don't think that'll be a problem for me, as I'm rather pale anyway!

 

i would store the clippings and scatter them in the bed, that way when you wake up its like,
'OMFG my beard has fallen out'

Bit messy i know, and most likely be finding hair in the bed for the next 1000 years, but worth the expression on her face!


I was in the same boat with my beard, i don't think they like the 3 day lapse between shaven and soft stubble, during those 3 days i could cut glass on my face. 8 hours after shaving its possible to strike matches! lol!

But since moving out and going to a long distance relationship (not are choice) i've being trying to get into a routine of shaving..

And, I've noticed, if you stroke it while someone asks you a question, and leave them to answer it themselves, they think you answered the question and thank you.

Gotta love beards.
