It is pretty comprehensive. Shows the whole procedure. M gets one eye done, then a week later the other eye. Pause for 3 to 5 weeks then repeat.
In order to check the progress they have to give her an IV dye injection for colour contrast. She is allergic to the normal iodine based dye (breaks out in hives the size of large oyster shells) so they use a dye made from squash. The IV turns her whole body yellow, face and head especially.

Coming out of the Dr. looking like a Helen Keller pumpkin with the dark glasses is sort of embarrassing to her.

She gets squeamish watching me put in my contacts but she does this! Go figure.

the only decent procedure info I found on the surgery that went in detail was this video (not for the squeamish). The surgery isn't so bad its self, though it's a little strange when you feel the surgeon grabbing your forehead to get better leverage on your eye. I still have to get my right eye done and pass though another round of "terminator eye" comments from people. Strangely my iris has turned into a 2 tone brown/green with the brown being around the pupil and the outer edge of the iris, with the middle being green (picture here). I'm not sure if it's permanent or just some temporary effect form the UV filter on the implant or the steroids in the eye drops I had to use.
The difference in colour vibrancy and detail after having the one eye fixed is almost like being on some kind of hallucinogen at first.

My buddy since asked me to play a suspect in his film school final project, and wanted me to grow my hair longer for it, so it's the one thing that has changed a lot since that pic was taken. We just finished filming for it about 6 weeks ago

 

I've been slighted! None of my high school pictures were in color - not even the year book. What's up with that?
