I thought this up to gain some insight into what the rest of you like as far as retail cases for builds (unmodded)

modding of course is great, but it seems the question of 'which case should I use?' pops up far too often.

I've added the first ones that come to mind, if I've missed any feel free to post them and I'll add them to the poll.

(I cant seem to add to the poll options :duh: :wallbash: )
for now just put in a post and I'll count manually (can a moderator del the poll please?)

Personally I love the P180, or the LiLi Vx000's. Nice cases.

Then again, I have a thing for clean-looking tower cases. :p

I have the original stacker and it is an awesome case.
    Can't fault it really.

Used to have an old Coolermaster ATCS case with a door on front and it was great too.

    Silverstone TJ09.

If you've ever bought a Silverstone TJ07-09 you'll never buy anything other than Silverstone ever again.

Shame you forgot to include the best case manufacturer in the Poll :duh:

Personally I'd say the stacker but not everyone will be able to handle the looks, if not, then the TJ09 :)

@ fathom - as I put in the edit, I found I couldn't edit the poll afterwards (was going to add more lian-li's and silverstones, also the p182)

so now I'm just counting manually; disregard the poll and just post your opinion, I'll tally them up in a week or so.

as of now it seems the P180, TJ-09, Lian-Li Vx000's, and the CMS 830 are the favorites. (the whole point of this is to get an idea of the opinions of those who are usually most picky about their cases, us enthusiasts)

If I don't have to actually pay for the case then sure hell it would be an uber-aluminum-hyperdyper with reduntant PSUs, but as I do, my choise is Antec P180B. I wouldn't want to modify it by any means because of the sandwich-structure, but it's good as it is. And not too expensive.

Antec P180 is the best case I've ever used, it has sooo many nice features

Personally I find the P180 a bit boring to be honest, its got no slick lines imo, I have this arguement/banter with my best mate constantly lol

P180 is good and very functional but I found it a bit fiddly and I'm not a fan of the looks particularly.

In my opinion the 343 Cube is the best, but damn rare.

for a widely available consumer case it depends on the application.

For a basic, mid-range build I'd use the P180B, but for anything past midrange I'd use a CMS 830 Evo

as far as the cube goes I'm hoping to use it to build my Linux/gaming server sometime in the future (2x quad Xeon server)

Lian-Li for me. I bought a PC-65 back in 2001 and its still brilliant. :)

I love the look of the V1000B though. The only reason I don't get one is because I already have the next best case (IMO). :D

I put 830, but if I had an unlimited budget, I would get a Lian Li V2100.

    Lian-Li V-series. No competition, IMO.
