    afaik it's a fridge...

a CPU cooler that cools by refrigeration (compressing and uncompressing gasses), you can go below 0deg celcius with this cooler and hence you can overclock more (usually)

Water coolers cool by conduction into a water reservoir obviously can't go below 0deg C but you can go as cool as the body of water (which gradually warms)...

Air coolers cool by conduction into air... you can only cool as low as the ambient room temp with this... Ducting helps since your room temp is often cooler than the air temp inside the case

How bout modding a freezer - as in the kind we all have sitting doing nothing but keeping food cold in the garage, when we all know that what it should be doing is keeping our nice hot pooties cold...

My freezer is like those ones in shops that have a 'Super cold switch'. I turned it on once - boy was that a badidea - all I had was a solid block of frozen food in the freezer... :(

    Actually, to be perfectly honest

I was gonna get one of those cold all day fridge bag things that're just the right size for a bottle of softdrink.

And I was seriously considering what that other dude said about using a peltier to cool your drink. Of course I would make it plug into the computer so I could have a cold all day LAN drinky =)

As for being too cold to touch. I'd put it in the fabric of the bag and put a cloth over it or something to make sure you couldn't get your skin stuck to it

    =)

I would like to see full tower modded with a laptop screen in the side. I dunno if it can be done, hopefully it can. It would be great for an admin at a lan party. A how-to would be nice also.

How about a guide on making a stealthed baybus out of a cd drive so when you need it you eject the cd drive and there are all your fan switchs.

I was thinking about doing something similar, only with an LCD screen, and when you ejected the drive, the whole front popped off and then the screen rotated so that you could see it...

No cash for the LCD tho :(

I think the Bit team should mod any old case but put a water window in it, like they did at Gideontech. Dye the water n all :)

I think Bit-tech should actaully mod a motherboard or something....spray it with glow in the dark paint or something, and it should still work if the paint is non conductive. Might look pretty cool as well if done properly!

    [/crazy idea]

    :D
