Hey, So when you're downloading your perfectly legal Linux distros - what download speeds do you get?
I'm DLing Ubuntu 9.1 now via torrent, and I get 850kB/s average and have peaked at 1,2MB/s Gotta like popular distros!
F*** you very much! Can I steal some of it? Actually you should be donating it toMarkW7, he seems to need it!
I downloaded Ubuntu at the weekend and fetched around 6MB/sec. I'm sure there was plenty left in the torrent too, but no more in my net connection.
The absolute highest i've EVER seen my BT connection go in the 2 years i've had it was 600kb/s. Usually it's around 150-200kb/s though..... *hates cable users*
How did you get that fast with tesco. I didn't think they did a plan with more than 8MB. I get 0.001kbps in torrents, because stupid TalkTalk throttle them. And I've tried everything to get it working, like using port 80, still throttled. God knows how they're doing it.
I just remoted to my torrent box from work to see peaks of 4.7MB/s but averages of about 3MB/s on a 50mb line...
My midget pr0n... LINUX DISTROS get downloaded at 800 kB/s when not limited.. Usually they are, though as my flatmate wants to also download tentacle hentai... FREEWARE GAMES every now and then.
