And a q8220 @ 2.33 Ghz. My resolution is 1680x1050 and AA isn't really noticeable for me so I probably won't have that on. Oh and 4GB of DDR2

At that resolution without AA it should handle it perfectly fine at high settings, although i dont own any of those specific hardware choices so cant comment directly.

Also, what would be a recommended power supply? Looking to keep the cost down tbh.

I'll just go for an Antec truepower 550w. Should be fine.

My single 6870 could run bc2 at ~70 fps at 2048 x 1152 all high and AA on my old q9550. It did dip from time to time but never enough to make it unplayable.

If you have everything maxed I would think you will be CPU limited and GPU limited both (depending upon the action on screen).

Most of the time you will run at reasonable fps, but when there are a lot of explosions etc. you will see your fps drop significantly due to CPU usage.

You will need to lower some settings to gain smooth gameplay, but not that much hopefully.

Luckily the game multi threads very well.

Yeah, my CPU is a disaster... Would it bottleneck a 560 Ti? I could probably stretch to it... But not much point if it'll be held back.

550 w will do you proud. Oc the tits out of the CPU and you'll be fine. :)

    he's right tho. Bc2 batters CPU's.

Is a athlon x4 640 @ 2.8 better than what I have? Because I was watching a vid Of someone play bfbc2 with it and a 6870. It was pretty smooth.

a Core2 quad should be better than any Athlon for gaming, even if it is half a gig slower, it still has a decent cache to make things smoother.

Alright. Now I've just got 2 more things to sort out before I buy.

    1. Is a 560ti going to be held back? Or is it worth the £40
    2. What psu model? I'm not really familiar with psu's... ;3

a 560 will do you proud, and go even faster when you upgrade your CPU.

Hmm. Apparently you can set your FSB (whatever that is) in a program.. And it'll bump up speed. Sounds dangerous :D

You can, it's a powerful tool. Personally I use SetFSB just to get extra info about my CPUs, I've never been brave/foolhardy enough to use it to OC :D

Hmm. I could buy a new mobo for my processor. With a new mobo + psu + 6870 I doubt i could keep it under £220.
