So pretty much, you need 512mb of RAM or more and a pretty current video card.. or you'll run into slight frame drops time to time.

Yeh. I reckon 1Gig of ram makes for the best solution - it made all the sound stuttering/blue screen/random crashing problems i was having go right away.

Still get big frame rate drops occasionally, but i'll put that down to my 6600GT not being quite as meaty as it's big brothers :)

Im pretty sure the game is just as reliant on a decent CPU/RAM spec as it is the type of GFX card you own. There are a few peeps on the Steam forums who are having nothing but problems with their AthlonXP3000+/512MB/GeForce 6800 Ultra configurations.

Me eyes the Athlon64 lovingly........... :D
(drat, all out of cash for upgrades this xmas)

    a) What GFX card are you using?
    b) What screen resolution are you running it at?
    c) What kind of system do you have? (i.e. ram, processor, etc.)
    d) How did you acquire it? (via steam or retailer)
    e) Have you had any problem and what kind.

Ok I guess its time I respond to this thing.

    A) GeForce 5200 FX 128MB (at leat untill my tax return gets here :D )
    B) only 800x600 (I would go larger but I don't want to push it)
    C) Athlon XP 3200+, 1GB of 3200 DDR, SB Audigy2 zs, 120GB and 250GB HDs
    D) retailer, Target (was an early Christmas gift fom my wife)
    E) Amazingly enough the only problems I have Had are a few drops in frame rate on the air boat ride when I ramp something, land and the air boat flips arround or I crash into something and the airboat spins arround really fast.
Other than that the only thing getting on my nerves is the head crabs. (annoying little *******s) :grr: :D

I LOVE THIS GAME! :jawdrop: :jawdrop: :jawdrop: :jawdrop:

    a) Radeon 9200 256MB (will be 6600GT on Saturday)

    c) Shuttle SN45G V3, Athlon 2500+ @ 3200+, 512MB PC3500 (2x256MB)

    e) Not any proper problems to speak of, only I have to run it at the lowest possible settings. Hopefully that will change with the 6600GT.
