Radeon 8500Le 250/275 - Ive been converted from an nvidia whore to a pure ati believer now. I lub my card beats the ti500 and is only half the price
I have one of them geforce 2 64mb ti's overclocked 250/455, had a hercules gf 2mx 215/225 but gave that away, s3 virage 4 mb, viper 770 tnt 2 (non ultra), geforce 1 sdr 16mb lol. Ive had many other gfx cards slip through my hands.
all i have to say is that my vanta kicks ass! i am impressed, i am always above 60 fps at 800x600 (maz res of my mexican monitor) in CS with everything maxxed. i love it! and its like a 30 dollar card now too.
Thats because halflife engine is about 3 yrs old. If you played a newer game such as rtcw then you would struggle @ 640 x480 with some of the features on. But if your happy with it then, I say stick with it. Don't get sucked in with all these fancy cards that cost £300, thats taking the piss for a card that is replaced in 6 months with a newer model. It is mainly due to sloppy programming, if a game doesn't run fast enough the producers would just up the minium spec. We thats my rant over
Matrox G400max, Geforce 256 ddr, and a Geforce 3 that i am selling. I'll be posting it on procooling's page for auction when i get it totally finished. Watercooled/Pelted V-modded all sealed up and ready for action, with a little support beam because it weighs in at almost 2 pounds i think? i forgot =D
Currently I have a All-in-Wonder Radeon installed. Perfect for me since I don't have any games younger than two years old. I won't be getting a Radeon 8500, however. The 3D is up there in most cases, but the problems with Athlon mobos earlier and now reports that the DVD playback isn't up to snuff... to top it off, my shutter goggles (for stereoscopic 3D) doesn't work with any Radeons I've tried. Doesn't really matter too much, I'm not planning on upgrading (again) for quite some time. I think I'm gonna take my Voodoo2 out of my bro's system and jam it back into mine once he gets a real accelerator (or computer, for that matter )
16Mb voodoo 3000... getting a new card soon cos my fps on CS is 10-15. I sometimes get as low as 6 fps . The driver support is no longer in existence and the 3rd party drivers are not working with XP (cant install them). grrrrrrrr....
Pooooooor Ha ha, nice to see everyone has a nice fast card! Im running a 32mb TNT2 M64, which is totally %&$*, but im a poor studenty type person!! Having sed that, my sis has a 4mb ATI Rage Pro, bow down to the power!
