Storage What happens to Onedrive storage on a drive when you reinstall?

I'm planning reinstalling Windows on the lounge PC. I have a separate internal storage drive that I simply reconnect afterwards (as I suspect most users here do).

I've recently jumped on Onedrive and have offline storage enabled. My question is this: when I reinstall, will Onedrive have to redownload everything or does Onedrive do something clever to the folder?

It will download everything again unless you store it elsewhere and copy the data back.

If you point the onedrive client at the existing onedrive folder it'll merge the changes with what's in the cloud [if there are any changes]. If everything's unchanged it should just go 'right, everything's as it was' and continue as normal.

If you point it at a different folder it'll download stuff to the new folder, or not, depending on whether you have placeholders/files-on-demand turned on.

Fantastic. This is what I was hoping.
