I once made a plexiglas mod with wheels and i were testing the max velocity down the school halls on it... tbh. i thought 3mm plexiglas would hold a bit more (luckily none of my hadware got REALLY bad injured. However i broke a 120mm fan)
My harddisk was crashed. There was 10 gigs of free room left so i wanted to make a partition so I could put windows on it and then get my files of it to another hd. But the partitioning faild and now I lost all my photos, docs etc. is ther a way to recover it, it its posible pm me.
PNY 7900GTX died, began with colorful stripes on the screen, 10 seconds later all black. No idea what caused it. Might get it on warranty though, justa have to stick to a 7300GS for now And same day i dropped a athlon xp 2600 and stepped on it bending most of the pins, but seems i managed to get them straightened enough for it to work
Most of the stuff I broke was on purpose. Old 4 gig hard drive I took a sledgehammer to. Had a bet with a friend on how much power a socket 7 could actually stand... didn't matter who won by the end of it. Gave a buggy ram stick the screwdriver. Must have fried several psu's (possibly accidents) Also put a steel bar through a monitor but that one was an accident
a few mins ago i burned a el wire because i connected it to 12v instead of 5v (20$ down the drain) i have broken: 6 crt 10 keyboards 30 mice 13 mobos 9 cases (i take off a door and practice hockey ) 2 speaker systems 2.1, 2.0 5 hdds Destruction is fun once a put a dab explosives under a prosesor with no heat sink that is cool
Pulled the 200 gig hdd ot of my main rig and plopped it into a hdd caddy and brought it to uni to use with my laptop. Caddy fell on it's side on the desk and the hdd then never worked again. Lost about 2 years of data! My own fault for not backing it up!
I've Broken the following or had them quit on me: 4 HDD 3 Mice 2 CRT 1 PSU 1 CD-Rom 1 CD-Burner 1 speaker set (Not Mine) 1 keyboard and I exspect more in the future.
really crappy thermal goop applied by OEMs responsible for my athlon64 3200+ being literally torn out of its socket whilst still stuck to heatsink. shat myself! but it was OK. motherboard went POP shortly afterward though.
Thankfully nothing expensive yet, just a few fan connectors (I was trying to hook them up to a 9V battery ) and *lots* of flies. I can't work out how they get into my computer, there are no holes big enough during the summer, I should get a nice big collection!
My Graohics card and motherboard and CPU But no I didn't break them they just didn't all work together
I' killed a part of my Scooter. No idea what the english word is for: I have the bad idea Ive distorted it.
