Doubt it, paintballs hurt like a mutha****a. I guess it totally depends on the velocity of it.
I have a Crosman CB40 pellet gun and getting shot at close range with that hurts *so* bad. It breaks the skin and lodges itself in. :sigh:

well about the power, the legal limit for a fully automatic aeg or any automatic is 328 fps (feet per second) +10% but for a single shot gun (the psg-1 above is automatic so technically not a real sniper rifle) 500 fps +10%. when shot at with 328 fps its quite a big sting but if hit by a real bolt action sniper rifla shooting 500 fps, ull know when uv been hit!! i am considering the aps-2 sniper rifle and the marui ak47 spetsnaz atm, from airsoft dynamics^^

The guy who used to live in the next room here in uni halls had a few BB guns, and a CO2 powered handgun shootin out, i think, brass BB's. His mate Griff set up a target on a bit of cardboard against the window in our corridor, stood at the other end (about 15 ish metres) and shot the **** out of the target. Then he realised the BB's had gone through the 4 or 5 layers of cardboard and smashed the window  had trouble explaining that one!
He also used a few cardboards boxes as target practise in his room, it was only when he moved out he realised hed took a few chunks out of the wall behind too! Think the uni is still chasing him about that one...

Good and Bad points of it, I heard some people complain that its all plastic - is it a big deal?

    BOLLOCKS.
You, my friend, are clearly annunciating out of your rectum.

There is no way that an Airsoft gun within legal power limits ( And a good way outwith, for that matter ) could maim anyone, unless they got hit in the eye.
At the most, you'll get a small bruise or bleeding blister.

Paintballs hurt a LOT more than BBs, since they're a lot bigger and so are fired with a lot more force.

And MDK - it doesn't MATTER how well hidden you think you are, or if you hide the guns when you're going to and from the woods.
Eventually, you WILL be seen - think how far you can actually see, then think about the ACTUAL likelihood of someone a fair distance away spotting you.

If you keep doing what you're doing... see you on the news.

    The FAMAS?

    Excellent gun.
Yes, it's made mostly of plastic, but it's a real workhorse. Almost every 'softer I know has a FAMAS for when all their fancy upgraded guns break down. The FAMAS will outlast any one of them. It was also Marui's first AEG, and was designed for a 7.2 volt battery - but is internally sound enough to take an 8.4 ( Which is standard in all guns since. )
So the FAMAS basically pishes BBs at a stupid rate of fire.

Cheap too. For a first gun, I highly recommend it.
Closely followed by the Beta AK.

And yeah, go to Airsoft Dynamics. Not the fastest, but far from the slowest. Not the cheapest, but MILEs from the most extortionate. Good customer service, and generally a nice bunch of guys.

Hmmm... decided to cancel the order and get a G3-SG1 instead as it can be set to full auto.

Had to get the scope seperately, but it comes to roughly the same price. I also got extra magazines and a face mask as I plan to take it to Firefight scotland next month :D

I've got a Marui CO² Desert Eagle. Two friends and I bought them for the house last year, was awesome fun. They sting like crazy though on bare skin. Mine was the most powerful of the three, so god knows what being shot like mine felt like. :naughty:

    :eeek: Shibby Sweet!!!!!

That'd be fun in uni halls... you could hit people the otherside of campus

(Not that I think it's a good idea, since most people at uni wouldnt hesitate to kick the s**t out of you for it!)

I must admit I've just seen this thread and gone from thinking "cool" to "that's a kick in the nuts and needs licensing control" back to cool and so on...

I'm a target shooter and shoot and own an anschutz target rifle a bit like....

it's fully licensed and I'll admit that to do so it took a long time of work with the police I've also got a remington 1100 synthetic stock which is
    [IMG]

The end of it is, that whilst I dont see any problem with Airsoft, some level of licensing would surely be a good idea, to prevent people who are completely irresponsible and would have the airsoft which are still firearms imo as they look so realistic in a public place.

Anyway, back to the point, and they are cooooool as hell, where'd you get them? :)
