    Hi guys,

my Samsung home cinema system broke just before christmas so i sent it away to get repaired and they couldnt get the parts anymore, so now i am left with £250 from the refund they gave me and another £50-£150 leaving me with £300-£400, what home cinema system should i get

i would prefer optical inputs and HDMI outputs, however if the HDMI output means compromising on sound then forget it, if it is better to just choose a reciever and dvd player (it Must be able to play the DivX codec however) then please guide me as i do have the speakers left from my old samsung home cinema

i use it for my media pc and 360 primarilly aswell as HD-DVD's, DVD and just general TV viewing

    thanks in advance,

    Nostrano

DON'T get an all in one reciever. Get an AV reciever, you can get them with starter speaker pack nowadays (for example, the Yamaha AV59 package) which are several times better than the overpriced all-in-one P.O.S available today.

Plus, it allows room for upgradeability and you can truly tailor the sound to your tastes - amplifier and speakers can make the biggest difference to how you enjoy your HC.
