Well.... having been on both sides of it. I used to pretty much be an alcoholic and smoke a little hash too! (I even have a D.W.I. on my record, and still didn't learn my lesson at that time) But now I hardly ever drink (maybe once a year I'll have a beer or two) and never smoke anything. I think that you need to be able to support your self in order to make the choice to drink, you should be able to have self-control and not let it become a priority in your life!!!!! And I most definitly do not think it is a solution to any problems, it won't help you with depression, guilt, anger, anything, all it will do is postpone what you need to deal with!!!!! But I think you should follow the law too (and that sums up my views on pot, it's ILLEGAL, so you shouldn't do it. Anyways that my views

hehe i'll never forget being caught in primary school with a bottle of 20/20 and a pack of fags... pretty funny looking back at it :hehe:

i used to drink on saturday nights with my mates in the usual shitty places eg by the pier, on the beach, in the woods. we used to get through 40 stubbies between 8 of us  (i'm guessing about 2 pints of piss weak lager each) and we used to go 'shares' between four to buy a pack of 20 fags

when i was 15 i had a job that paid fairly well, so i'd go down the pub every fri/sat night, and had a pretty good time. we never really got into trouble back then as we knew if we did that'd be the end of it for at least 3 years. i guess knowing that meant we were fairly responsible with our drinking.

my a-level years were pretty much the same, though we'd progressively get more and more drunk as we were all pretty close to 18 so there was no real fear of getting caught/banned from pubs/clubs.

then i became a uni student and it all went downhill from there :D i'll have a drink most days, but generally only get really pissed a couple of days a week (the last three weeks being an exception... that was quite an extended binge :D) i'm not particularly worried about my alcohol intake, i know a few people who drink a damn sight more than i do, and it doesnt seem to be affecting my health atm.

my opinion on illegal drugs mirror that of a few people here. personally i don't mind what other people get up to. granted, i most likely wouldn't make friends with someone who smokes rocks or jacks up, but if my friends want to smoke weed, do pills, snort coke, bomb speed etc i don't really care.

end of the day ive been in parties where all the drugs i've ever heard of other than crack and heroin have been freely available, and i can trust myself to be fairly sensible and can happily let everyone get on with their own thing :)

my drug of choice: alcohol :D
my addiction: cigarettes :hip: / :wallbash:

I'm 16 and I've never had a drink alcohol and I don't plan to until I'm at least 21. I've seen the consequences first-hand, so I see no reason for me to start drinking now.

I think 15 is an okay age to drink as long as it is under supervision of parents. After 18 years of age, you are on your own and should have enough intellegence not to become drunk under certain situations. Although, in relation to that age, it will have to be augmented since I am observing a decline in "common-sense" in younger generations.

I have never drank in my life (18) so it just a matter of personal preference.

I drank my first coffee in the morning today. :D

Commonsense and modderation are the keys IMO (when has commonsense ever been common though?). I'm not a big believer of underage drinking however. By about 16-17 you are starting to get your head around things but unfortuately these people are usually the ones who hit the sauce the worst and binge drink. (There are reasons for leagal ages in the law). Any younger is just plain nuts.

I didn't have my first drink until I was 18 and have never been a big drinker. There were a couple of years where I hardly drank at all (see below) but now I'm back to being a social drinker - 1 or 2 drinks only about 1 night in a weekend.

A few years back I was involved in the clubbing/rave scene (for about 4 years) and everything that involves (I won't admit more than that :D ). I saw just about everything under the sun happening around me and I saw the sorry results of people abusing things. If you want to use, do it because it makes whatever experience you are using it for more enjoyable. DON'T use it because the activity isn't fun without it (get a new hobby) or for the sake of using it. And don't do it every weekend.... it's not good for you. During the week at school/work I believe is a no-no :nono: Be responsible.

I think pretty much anything is ok as long as you aren't hurting anyone but I get a bit irked by the thought of people spiking themselves - that's the start of where it all starts to go wrong I believe. I've never shot up (TBH I'm afraid I'd enjoy it too much and not stop).

    Remember kiddies.... commonsense and moderation.

Drink - do it, if your young it'll make you sick anyway and probably teach you a lesson
Drugs - try it, you might like it :) stay away from heroin and the harder drugs....

Well, you can delete this if you like...
