I'd return his money and tell him to eff right off, if he tried that with me.

We get similar numpties on our local free-ads site - people offering half the asking price and finish their text with "Cash Waiting!", as if it somehow improves their chances. Well thank fuq for that, for a moment I thought I was getting paid in bottle tops.

haha - I ended up turning down all the BIN offers I received and every single item that I received BIN offers for sold for about 30% more than their offers. One chap wouldn't let it go - he kept replying saying that he could get the item for cheap brand new - eventually I told him to do one and just buy it new then (it was a camera lens that I was bundling with £40+ of accessories and his new price didn't include taking them into account at all)

My favourite is, "I think I also have the [something important to go with it] but I'll have to check."

    :eyebrow:

How about checking beforehand, yea? :thumb:

I also got some questions along the lines of "will this lens fit on a Canon 6d?" - I would have hoped that if you've got a camera worth over a grand that you would have some sort of idea what lenses would and would not fit on it...

Damn, cash waiting ! Eff me that's from the 80s lmao. You'd see an advert in the Guardian offering a low sum for something some one wanted and they'd end the ad with "Cash waiting !" because it was all cheques back in those days.

Since the dawn of Paypal and BT etc though it means absolutely naff all like you say. You can instantly send good cash straight to some one now..

All I have to say is that there are many decent people in the world. Please don't let the buyers on eBay get you down.

    Take care,

Bit late, I have the CA$H, and the creepy f'kah was gone with the goods (paid the correct amount) before I got home.

Money is money, and the tat I was selling has gone :thumb:

My old boss (RIP) used to get so fed up with time wasters and lowballers at the shop that I heard him say on a number occasions "I'd rather smash it".
True to his word, I did have to rescue a Nikon camera body and a lens another time from the bin, where he'd hurled them in...

GUI - true, there's plenty of decent folk out there; but selling stuff brings out the idiots/chancers/crooks
