    Hey all,

I came across this telephone interface unit that is ancient, called a Mccurdy TIM-940. So old, the company doesn't even have a website.

It has telco input, via a banana plug. Anyone have any idea what this is? I would expect an intercom interface to have like.. an RJ14 input.

Bizarre. A quick google search shows they do exist but I've no idea what they are.

Dunno about the Telco connection, but Google reckons the TIM-940 is a Tone Activated Switcher.

Have a trawl through this for some info.

From what I can find, Telco connections are aka RJ-21, can't find any pics but they're Half Parrallel, 25 pins. Not banana plugs...
