what is this cable

    Either thats not a IDE port, or thats not a IDE cable.

    Sorry about the unclear pic.

    Any ideas,
    the cable has 52 pins (i guess its not an IDE cable then)
    The mobo has 40 -1 pins

    That's IDE, but for floppy ;)

    that would be a scsi cable by the looks of it.

    Right, It dosent fit in the floppy port either so ill go with scsi unless there are any other ideas, or should I say IDEas. :hehe: :p

    EDIT: atualy I dont think it is a scsi but I may be wrong

    Those are IDE ports, as for the cable its certainly not IDE or floppy. Don't think its SCSI either.
    Can you post a close up pic of the connector itself? Also where did you find the cable?

    Highland3r: He could have miscounted ONE pin. With that many pins its likely.

    But then he might not have so you can't say its definetly scsi ;) If he did miscount then yes it probably is 52pin scsi...

    Ok sorry, I did miss count, 50 pins. I counted half and doubled it, must of counted one twice. Its a scsi 50 then. Thanks for all the help.
