Dude, you are actually proper awesome. Brand new screen and all you think about is Red Alert 2, haha. May i ask though, what monitor arm is that? Looks pretty good to me. Cheers, Sam
this so much when my u2711 came, i was like holllllyy sh*t (i actually said that) and quite literally by the end of the day it seemed normal to me. sucks in a way.
Yeah £700 is an amazing deal for the U3011 with standard warranty. A while ago I had the same dilemma of deciding between two 24"s or one 30, but I was looking at NEC, Eizo, and LaCie. Two 24" standard gamut displays were a good bit cheaper than a single 30" wide gamut display, and because of the larger combined screen area (4.6 million pixels vs 4.1 million) I was happy to go with the dual 24" option. I've been using it for a long time now and I must say I LOVE it.
Seeing that amazing set up, with the cooker and fridge right behind your chair and Red Alert 2 on the go. Really made me smile.
Wow, that's huge! It does seem true though. I started with a 14" CRT and then went to a 19" LCD and subsequently to a 23". Now it just feels completely normal and if I try to use a mates PC I keep thinking 'Why are you icons all so huge?" when they're in fact the same size lol I imagine this will be the same. Have to give +rep for the instant load up of Red Alert 2 though (easily my favourite C+C)
Can I ask what mounts you are using for those? Need to find something for my triple screens (see below). Once you get a 30", EVERYTHING else feels small (that includes 27").
