If you jump when you're on a train, will you land on the same spot?
WinXP here! Will dual-boot Linux at some point in my life...

if a train sets off from bristol at 15:12 heading to london at 110mph and a train from london bound for bristol sets off at 15:21. At what time do the passengers realise that public transport is for loosers.

Anyway a vote for RISC OS, truely a gem, okay so a crashes a bit too much, but the 5 second boot from power on is grand.

  4. Mac OS X then SuSe Linux then Win XP - Do I win a prize? :hehe:

Well, I sit on my Windows PC, streaming music from my Gentoo fileserver, and bop over to my iBook when I need to. All of the above? :p

    EDIT:
No, because not only are you running SuSE, you messed up the capitalization of it :p

(Actually, iirc, they've recently changed it to all caps, so *SUSE  )

But seriously, try a different distro. SuSE is pretty, but not overly useful, I know because I used it for at least 8 months before switching to Gentoo :)

Have a PC (AMD64) and a Laptop (Powerbook). I use them for different purposes, so can't really call one "main".

WinXP for me. About as stable as a one-legged donkey but it plays my games, man!

XP on both Main PC and Laptop, both very stable, and an ease to use.

Try reverting back to Windows 98 first edition, then complain to me about stability. :p My mom has an older computer running Windows 98, so many problems. Not like it's spyware either! It's just unstable!

If you would use Windows NT on hardware that Microsoft would supply you with, I am sure it would be as stable as MAc. Just imagine the amount of drivers and coding that is involved in making windows compatible with such large amount of hardware. I am surprised Windows even works. And works great for me I must say. Sure it has issues, many issues but look at the good side =)

Can't argue with that. But would Microsoft be willing to go into the hardware department, with the monopoly they have on software?
