    Meant to say this earlier.

I can’t believe that guy was harassing Newport Council and Natural Resources Wales for permission to dig up the rubbish tip for so long…

Like… my dude… You ain’t getting it back. You tossed out the drive 12 years ago and then had the gall to blame your missus (who thankfully became your ex-missus a very long time ago) for your own cockup. The area of the tip it was dumped in contains 15,000 tonnes of waste. You f’ed up and it is gone.

Thankfully the high court tossed his legal case out the window about a year ago. That seems to be the end of it.

For some reason paypals pay in 3 won't work for me anymore. Never had an issue never missed a payment, or had issues but tried on Argos last month and it just said not available, and then again tonight on my dogos medication, I get 3 months worth at a time so I so a pay in 3 option, done it for my last order this time it just instantly says not available ..

So I ended up paying for all 3 months today.. no clue why it stopped working..

Got asked Monday can I stop till 6 at work. Thought it's only 2 hours fine I'll stop. Apparently they emailed me and someone else to say they got it wrong it's 6-8 we needed someone onsite, we have a event at our company should be no more than 10 ppl . There are 36 cars in my carpark and no end in sight starting to think a 8 finish isn't on the cards either

Someone has cloned my debit card.

[Edit] bank has resolved the issue and returned the money. I had to cut up my card though and I'm awaiting the replacement, so only slightly less meh

Housemate allowed her mother and someone else to move in the same room with her. Nice, overcrowded house, thanks

Made the landlord aware. Guessing she's getting slapped with section 8

    Not my problem

Having a nice little Mechwarrior 5 Mercs session this morning and the phone rings with a mobile number: Cue heavy Indian voice: "Hello, this is Amazon..."

And that's as far as I let it go.

You forgot your ring light. It hides-ish the bags under the eyes.

They don't play well with glasses, sadly. Also, I have permanent bags under my eyes - take those away and no bugger'll recognise me!

Talk about feeling like a fraud, though: there are people here with massive broadcast cameras and three-light setups, and there's me with the Stupid Lollipop Camera for Content Creators.

You may have mentioned before, but: which camera?

‘Cos the mic looks the part at least.

Hah, that's a solid plastic stick with a bit of foam on the end!

The camera is the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. Chosen because it's small, light, and can track objects and people - handy considering I'm supposed to be in front of and behind the camera simultaneously.

    Imagepipe_0 (15).jpg

The mic is actually the DJI Mic 2 lapel mic that came with the camera as the "Creator Bundle," slotted into the fake stick mic under the foam. When I'm using both, for the interviews I also don't wanna do, there'll be a matched pair of DJI Mic Minis in them. (Much cheaper than a second DJI Mic 2 and Receiver, longer battery life, smaller, lighter, and while the audio quality is maybe not as good they're certainly good enough for what I'm doing!)

Yeah, I thought it would be a wireless DJI or similar, they seem to be the 'go-to' these days.

Honestly... more fool the people lugging around the broadcast cameras & studio lights. Your 'Stupid Lollipop Camera for Content Creators' will do excellent quality video, and won't need a lot of faff to set up a shoot. Sure, more lighting is always good - capturing photons is the name of the game - but your setup is the difference between "grabbing someone for a quick chat" versus "5-10 minutes of setting up the shot and microphones beforehand".

Of course, motivation to actually do those things - or even be there in the first place - is something that neither camera nor microphones can help with .

I swear, this trip is cursed. First, we were late getting to the airport (but thankfully still early) because of an accident on the motorway (which, yes, was much worse for the people involved than us.)

Then we had to take a somewhat circuitous route to the hotel, because they found an unexploded WWII bomb right outside (which, yes, is a pretty common occurrence in Germany thanks to all the gift parcels the RAF delivered.)

And now I get an email from Lufthansa saying that their pilots' union has called a short-notice strike (which, yes, collective bargaining must include strike action as a possibility) - meaning I might not be coming home on Friday after all.

I wonder what delights tomorrow will bring?

    You must always...

    Expect the wurst.

    I'll let myself out.
