I want borgor. I has no borgor. Tomorrow I get borgor. Tomorrow probably not want borgor. Such is life.
Aye good, can always be tricky with the whole "I don't feel like eating but know I ought to eat" thing.
Especially when diabetic... Thankfully I have a Continuous Glucose Monitor in the back of my left arm which links to my phone and charts my glucose levels over the day. Got an alarm set if I go too low
Meh in that we've had to reschedule the return flight due to delays meaning the connection would be missed (probably because of Storm @David - always causing trouble). Fortunately we found out early enough and have delayed the hotel checkout until later so at least we're not stuck at the airport.
Not so much ruining now but still meh. Back in the office after the 4 day weekend, 3 days of which I have been sick. Started feeling a bit off around Saturday lunchtime before feeling really bad after dinner complete with the sulphur burps all night that pretty much means that my digestion is working super slow. Threw up for the first time at 8am Sunday morning and then a few more times over the day which now means that my stomach muscles are all pulled so coughing and sneezing are best avoided if possible (not possible). Still hardly eaten anything since Saturday evening. Back in the office now because it isn't norovirus (I know those symptoms only too well...) and if I wasn't sitting here in front of a screen, I would only be doing the same at home. Still got the sulphur burps and a bit of reflux. Plenty of water and not a lot else and I will be fine. Got some sugar bits if my glucose starts to drop.
HDD price insanity... my a drive in my NVR alerted for "a large number of uncorrectable errors" 6 months ago. Last time I added 16TB it was £255, when I got the first alert it was £370, now it's £470. The drive is hanging in there for now, and it's not the end of the world to lose footage, but still... "meh".
Looks like Synology have found a way to break ARC loader updates. Bah, bye-bye DSM. Just migrated to ZimaOS. Looks like it's still a work in progress but it is encouraging.
Birds. Now I like birds but the wagtails have taken a fancy to the car and it's absolutely covered in crap. Twice been to the carwash (last time itself a meh as I don't think the brushes even touched one side) and within a few hours there was absolutely no point in wasting the money. Meh.
According to Tom's, after rising 2,200% in the last year,DDR4 spot prices have dropped by (Sit down, calm yourself....) a whole 5%...
More by luck than judgement, I upgraded when DDR4 was cheap and, just a couple of weeks before the price started rising, last May.
Start finding out about a company that seems to really be doing things right, and not only delivering on their promises but actually going far further. Everything points towards 'de-enshittification done right'. I'm about to order their one of their products... and then I learn that the founder is a massive piece of ****. Racist, homophobic, transphobic, MAGA-supporting, Christian extremist, far-right arsehole who deleted his blog and Twittler post history, despite proclaiming how people shouldn't be unashamed of loudly voicing their beliefs and opinions: https://www.reddit.com/r/ATPfm/comments/1r70awh/why_did_marco_say_the_trmnl_guy_is_problematic/. [sigh] Nothing gained, nothing lost, I suppose.
Back online properly after over a week and half of not having full Fibre (now on 1Gb through Fibrly (backhaul on Openreach so they are the limit) and having to deal with my Strix G16 ****ing itself with updates. Also have to low the fact that Windows decided it would do updates despite me telling it to pause and it literally stating they are paused... (I went away for 5 mins and it was initially unresponsive and then the update screen popped up...). Meanwhile my Mac was just, "eh, you have internet now, want to carry on browsing what you had open on your phone? Also, I took the liberty to auto connect to your new WiFi as your phone is connected to it and I authenticated through that. Can I be of service?" It has actually been nice being somewhat offline over the last week (barring when we needed to update everything and had barely no phone signal at all). Meant we curled up on the sofa watching some classic sitcoms via the 360.
Such disappoint, I was on the same track as you B, luckily I don't have the funds for one just now I'll save up for a big Spectra 6 photo colour frame later in the year then...assuming the producers aren't fascists either
