That's weird as my BMW batteries last for 5 years (Amazon CR2032's as well), though seems common for Polestar
After feeling fatigued by YouTube's algorithm that always seems to go for depressing "look at how wrong this thing/person is!!!1!!1!", I'm making a conscious effort to only watch/listen to videos that are actually nice. Such as painting miniatures, documentaries, or Lego. Wish me luck in modifying its behaviour.
I've been trying to do the same and amongst cat videos there's still "look at this person who is DESTROYED!!!" crap and/or AI schizzle.
I rarely watch “recommended” videos outside of channels that I have heard of, am familiar with, or am already subscribed to. YouTube has developed an incredibly effective radicalisation engine. It’s not as powerful as TikTok, but it does a very good job of leading you down some very dark rabbit holes. It’s like a “six degrees of Kevin Bacon” thing, except for far right, conspiracy theorist, anti-science, mis-/dis-information content.
Healthy eating due to recent medical problems I mean don't get me wrong, I know its good for me, but the taste on some of it is awful Nothing compares to either a lamb roast, 16oz steak & fries or extra mature cheese on toast! Would type more, but its time for my Mediterranean veg, Salmon fillet meal, with grapes and blueberries on Greek yogurt and a bottle of mineral water to wash it down
Spotted a flavoured soft drink on offer in Tescos, so purchased that. Turned out to be so bad tasting that I ended up just pouring it down the drain (and I'm a tight fisted bar steward who will eat anything). That's £2.50 I'm not getting back.
1 year old Crucial T710 boot drive decided to die Friday night, FH6 froze, then just stuck booting to bios, drive not detected. Might have been my bad, the heatsink pad looks like it was only contacting on a few corners of the chips on the drive, but it ran fine through the heatwave playing the exact same game, never noticed any throttling either. Stupidly hadn't done any backups for a while (despite telling everyone else that they need to back stuff up ). Few invoices lost for work, but can scan the paper ones back in, nothing else major that I can think of. Lesson learnt. £250 later, a Samsung 990 Evo+ 2TB has now replaced it and I've got to set everything up again. Then see if I can RMA the crucial drive, I suspect there shall be much jumping of hoops,
After the deer strike a few weeks ago and a worn out wheel bearing that came to light during the fixing of the aforementioned incident, I'm close to £900 down this month on car repairs. Guess that means the Lego & Warhammer budgets are going to be rather limited for the rest of the year .
Final year of my degree and I'm really, really struggling to remain motivated. Having had to move practice and gaining an hour each way commute (from 10 minutes) isn't helping. If I can get through the September-January work-nami the run into the final exams should be easier, but htere's just so much extraneous nonsense to deal with.
That's been a growing hobby of mine for the last two years. Especially when faced with the AI slop sci-fi vids.
I remember that very thing at university. I'd had a few but the guy next to me at the urinal was well sozzled; he proceeded to pour a whole pint away in front of him with the immortal words "Might as well cut out the middle man!" I thought of that as quite philosophical, and it has stayed with me since
I have two vacancies. One is turning into a full renovation since they smoked the place up so bad there are white squares on the walls where the pictures came down. ...Yet another tenant left their weird porn and plastic dongs.
