    Travelling.

First off getting up stoopid early and the exhaust getting ripped of the 4x4 picking us up (kinda rocky to get to).

Luckily the quickly called taxi got to us on time to make the train to the airport where I wait while my OH tries to buy all the things to make the bags as heavy as possible.

Meh though. Be back with my cat to watch athletics later. :thumb:

E: And damn, €4.50 for a flat white

Constantly planning to do loads of stuff (gardening, cleaning, hobbying etc) and getting about a tenth of it actually done. I should be thankful I get anything done at all, but the taskmaster side of me always ends up a bit pissed off.

If I don't get that damn Lego AT-AT finished this weekend I'm going to go spare.

Gaming... again... nothing's holding my interest and the internet is awash with games i can't afford... can't play... and probably wouldn't hold my interest anyway...

    Meh.

Remember having fun? enjoying things? not sure i do... everything i 'enjoy' all things considered feel more like some kind of obligation than anything else...

Feeling much the same about gaming, hardly playing anything at all now. Equally meh.

Oh boy oh boy... I'm tired today. Because of my sons sleeping habits I never ever get a full nights undisturbed sleep. But I'm really accustomed to the sporadic bursts and for the most part I get by with enough to not really feel that tired.

However, last night the minute I got back from settling him back down to sleep I was in the weirdest dreams....

I've lost count of the amount of times I've yawned today

Not getting enough sleep is brutal, it just makes everything harder.

Our dishwasher has packed in, it's less than a year old so it's not gonna cost us anything but it means at least a week of handwashing dishes. I'm a busy guy!

I was never convinced of dishwashers. Until I got one.

In other news, car is out of action. Left for three weeks and I thought the battery was dead. Mechanic came out, couldn't jump, everything works except it won't start, diags report a possible gearbox issue.

Odd as we drove it to where it is no issue. He will be back, could be just a little beasty eating a wire (there are lots around here in the fields and woods).

Hope so, otherwise the meh will be upgraded to a ruin if we have to fork out for work on an automatic gearbox.

Spent the morning rearranging the driveway, thinking of easier ways to use the bike out… ended up spending hours rearranging and nothing would work so it’s back to what it was in the beginning.

Picked up the latest lots from auction, naively paid up for a GBA game that was still sealed

Unfortunately, on closer inspection I looks to be counterfeit so got stung pretty bad with it... disappointing but such is the risk of general auction...

Emailed the auction house to tell them about it. It's probably something I'll have to take on the chin. I'm there every fortnight so perhaps they may make it right to retain a regular customer but who knows...

Finally got around to getting rclone and a GUI set up so I can yank all my stuff off Google Drive. I've been abusing "creatively interpreting" storage limits and using it to store all my media there. But about a month ago I got an email basically telling me they've caught on, and that I really shouldn't be using 20+TB of storage when my max is actually 5TB.

Currently doing the TV shows - it's gonna take a while... Films will be next and that's nearly double the size...

I have severely limited the bandwidth though; this is going to be running for a while, so I don't want it utterly annihilating my internet connection for days.

At one point I was storing 36TB there ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

It's all disposable stuff: TV series, films, music, etc, that we've already paid for. Having a DRM-free and platform-agnostic copy of the media makes it far more convenient to watch what I want when I want without fear of being locked into a specific device, subscription, platform, the whims of corporate oligarchs, etc.

The ~8-9TB I've whittled it down to is the stuff I really want to keep, and in some cases would be very difficult to re-download again.

Can't find trainers that fit my flat clown feet. Adidas have always been my go to, but even the more casual of styles now have an aggressively sculpted insole. I would normally wear pumps a lot because they're flat and wide, but my current heft and girth is taking its toll and I need something with more cushioning to it.

So what if it’s the child molesters footwear of choice. They’re like wearing clouds on your feet.
