This is the only one I'd even remotely contemplate.

Most booze, don't miss the taste at all.

Not a Guinness fan, but have also heard from various people that it is a good alternative.

David, that is deeply ferrous indeed!

Thankfully low/no alcohol beer is better than it was and still improving.

The new Peroni one is a lot better than the original, which was bland and sweet.
I have it on good authority that the new CEO a few years back said it wasn't good enough and made them reformulate it. Good work!

After saying on another forum that I've never experienced stick drift on any of my Playstation controllers I immediately then get stick drift (damn you bloody Matrix!).

Given it a clean, done a reset but the gamepad website thingamy-bob shows a definite erratic drift.

    Hey ho.

On the plus side, it was a black one bought separately and should still be in warranty until the end of Nov. Oh and I have an unused original white one to tide me over (I like having backups!).

Well, have to get the house move sorted first - glad I didn't buy it earlier

Banging headache, month end, Auditors on site performing full financial audit and need to get payroll over the line (all at the same time of course)..

    My laptop has other ideas...

Luckily its not effecting the two monitors I have connected but the laptop is basically toast (the pulsing pink shift occurs as soon as the laptop turns on before Windows loads). Just need to limp it along until payroll is done and then I can look at ordering a new one.

This is now the third Probook 450 G6 which has failed in two weeks...

Sounds like you (or your supplier) has had a bad batch.

Quite possible although the laptops are all around 4 years old bought ~ 6 months apart (bought before I joined the company). Note - all would have been bought directly from HP rather than through a third party.

The fact they have all failed in similar manners suggests a manufacturing defect with either the hinge assembly or the display connector. Possibly rears it head after x number of screen closes / opens.

All are out of their extended support window of course and were due for replacement in the next 3-6 months. Of course replacing them all much sooner was not on the radar or cashflow.

On the plus side I can spec a seperate device for myself outside of the normal "office laptop" devices that are deployed so should be getting something with a little more grunt than either a i5 "U" or Ryzen "U". Really want one of the Ryzen 9 AI 370X devices (performance and efficiency) but the prices are eye watering compared to similarly spec'd 8xxx/7xxx Ryzen or Intel Ultra 7/9 laptops.

I read this morning that there's currently only one Intel Ultra 9 laptop, and it's slower than the 7's.

You mean carving out a bunch of floorplan for an accelerator that does nothing for the machine's quotidian workload has harmed performance? How could Intel have possibly foreseen such a thing!

    Still packing.

Can see the light. I think. Box ready to put the TV back into before bed.... Later. Before an early start...

    Ugh.

"We'll carefully remove belongings after wrapping them"

Proceed to carry TV out on its side by one handle and a sofa uncovered in the drizzle.. Glad I I had original packaging...

E: I'll be amazed if anything arrives in one piece and the plants survive ..
