I can have a look for you in a week or so when I'm back if you like Gareth.

I'm sure (actually I know) I have a couple of them kicking around. Give me a nudge next weekend if I've not mentioned looking for them.

I just have to remember in which box in which cupboard since everything is still packed since we sold up and moved into the rental until we re buy.

But if I can find them, you can have one if you want.

    E: IIRC they're probably Samsung SH-S183B

Congratulations! It’s the day when the year on your calendar changes!

Oh yes! It’s also another day when we allow every drunk-ass Tom, Dick, and ****ing Harry access to explosives! One of the most utterly ****ing terrifying days for your pet! It’s OK though, your pets will only live a fraction of your lifetime: they’ll only have to experience shell shock 36 to 60 times and after that they die, so it’s all ok!

Oh, also: don’t mind the explosives that some ****-brained ****ing waste of oxygen decided to stuff through your letter-box - it’s not like they targeted you specifically for arson, you just happened to be close by! It’s all in good fun, it’s just “Year+=1 Day” hijinks!

In a country where you can barely fart in public without being caught on CCTV, it is incongruous on the extreme that we allow any ****in‘ random ****** to walk in to a supermarket and buy explosives.

It was raining here, so the fireworks tw@ts had a fairly short time of it.

Didn't stop them round here, sadly, but at least it kept things mercifully brief. Or at least, briefer than usual.

Thankfully here in Finland they're a respectful lot.

Started about 11 off and on and I think I heard the last about 1230.

E: Although I did see one startled white hare, I personally find fireworks utterly pointless.
I've also never understood @Byron C how you can get charged for carrying a penknife but sure, explosives, knock your self out.

You can (or could - it's been a long time). Not for carrying a box but, if you're carryfing a Roman Candle around in your hand in public, you can potentially be detained for posing a threat.

The classification is much lower, obviously, but then the rules for carrying explosives used to be pretty loosey-goosey ayway. You could transport detonators and priming charges in the same vehicle as long as they were separated - the dets usually had to be stored in a separate compartmentalised box, but eventually that changed - can't remember when - it's been decades since I had to keep up on the legislation.

It's also not a great idea to have a fireworks factory next door to a warehouse storing a couple of thousand tonnes of ammonium nitrate, but I think we all know that one by now.

Alarm set for 8 hours and 13 minutes from now.

I will get grumpy in the morning. Not even eaten yet.

Blimey, that's a feature-packed bit of kit, innit? Is it SATA (and, I'm guessing USB?) on the back? If so, I'd give it a shot with thanks!

It is indeed! Drop me a postage address and let me know if you need a SATA data with it and I'll see if I can get it posted tomorrow!

Have a good day my bleary eyed comrade.

I may still need yours - there's no way of knowing if a drive will work for raw reads without trying it!

Give me a shout then if you need me to dig around (which I may do anyway as once I think I may have to look for something I tend to do it).

    In meh news:

    Back in blighty.
Four or so disrupted hours sleep in a hotel before a stupid o'clock flight is no way to travel.

No idea why we picked those flights.

Must have had a brain fart.

Hopefully turning the corner on the meh, I put my back out on Monday afternoon and have been uncomfortable since. I have been able to sleep OK, but it's not great if I stay in one position for too long.
I rang the chiropractor this morning, hoping for an appointment soon, they can see me at 5.40 which is great. Hopefully I'll be on the mend before bed time. Otherwise it was a wait until tomorrow morning.
Fingers crossed he can put my bak right or start to, he always has before.
