Namco did a little DLC thing for one of the Ace Combat games with jet skins for each idol. Seems it was well enough received to start making models of them.

Agreed on the painting, it's very relaxing!

But an F430? Not exactly my dream Ferrari. :D

Got a set with an Enzo as well for £14.99 so thought I'd do the f430 as my little tester (water decals, painting and all that). Going better than I expected to be honest, wish I had a little table to work on though lol

Ah, nice! Considering I just have my bedroom until I can make the garage in to a workshop, I tend just to lay a mat on a spare portion of my desk. It does the job.

Crap. You buggers got me shopping again. -Can we include wish lists?
Luckily, I've never figured out how to buy anything from Japan. -Running a mech model called "BangDoll" through customs seemed like a bad idea too.

Yeah, the resin sets are intimidating, though.
Picked up a injection version LED Mirage from Amazon. (shipping rape:lol:-still cheaper than Japan.) Damn you Gunsmith! I thought I was over my addiction.

I didn't know you liked FSS! Nagano really screwed the pooch here recently though-are you still following, or just gonna enjoy the past before he raped it?

    Bloody hell, those are expensive!

Buying from Amazon.jp is really expensive in terms of shipping.

    @Kayin - I haven't seen anything past JP volume 11. -Greatest MarySue ever written.:lol:
It doesn't surprise me really. Nagano's Jesus complex is legendary. That last movie project got royally screwed because he even insisted on doing the animation.
@EndingCredits -Yeah, but look at the fecking detail!
I've seen one of these un-assembled. There's detail under the armor where injection molded kits are usually ignored.

He turned it into a part of Gothicmade. All the new designs look horrid, too. Batsh looks like some kind of fop, I don't even think there's a KOG any more, all kinds of stupid. They're no longer Mortar Headds, they're GTMs (whatever those are.) Yeah, he dropped right off the deep end there.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but saves making a new one for models.

Picked up this beauty a little while ago and have been slowly building it since

So far so good loads of fiddly details to do though

    Another ressurection.

Just finished this Spitfire. Tried using my Tamiya weathering powders, you can just about see it behind the exhausts and behind the gun holes on the wings. Think I need to practice with them a bit more, :D.

Hmmm, makes me want to get into model railroading again, but I have neither the space nor the money, and the club that used to be in town is now moved to the next county.

Is that not a Seafire with the clipped wing ends Cerb? Either way, very nice job. :D

Doing a bit of a reverse-build at the moment.

I got a Dust: Tactics Heinrich (Light Panzer Walker) and I'm using measurements from the model to re-create it in Sketchup :)

So far, I only have a foot done...

The box says Spitfire Mk V, :D

Manual lists the model as :
    Spitfire Mk Vb 402 Sqn.

Even more pleased with it now, the real one.

The Seafire didn't have clipped wing ends, but had two articulated folding points, one close to the wing root and another towards the tip.

The clipped wing variant of the Spitfire started with the Mk V, as it improved low altitude performance and roll rate. They're known as "LF" variants, as they also had the low altitude Merlin engine. Saying that, not all LF types had clipped wings...

That model has a B type wing (two 20mm cannon), of the LF type. Therefore it is a Spitfire LF Mk VB.
