its been a quiet christmas but still good.

I've said in the past that the "commercialization" of christmas is what's wrong with it. Being negative about the widest celebrated holiday and biggest Christian festival in the world is just plain wrong as well though!

I got the usual things a twenty-something guy gets - clothes, aftershave, gift vouchers for the sales, chocolates, DVDs, books etc etc

Tbh I was more excited about seeing my brother and sister in law for a whole day, and even more so about not working for the whole day - I had to work yesterday morning, and am working again tomorrow. So I only get one day off, until the 27th that is... then I'm sleeping until the 4th

 

Or better said... the day the christians choose to celebrate Jesus birthday sometime in the 4th century A.D. -- after they got accepted as the new formal romanian religion -- and get rid of the old heathen rites of celebrating winter solstice.

I got a set of playing cards, and a T-shirt with an Elephant on it, both from one of my aunts. Nothing else received, so I treated myself to xbox live gold, as they have a 30% off offer currently.

I got replacement tools for the ones which were stolen a few months ago, hooray

 

I got a book of 1001 songs you have to hear before you die, which I fear is going to cost me a lot next year :/. I also got a couple of jumpers some nice coffee a couple of DVDs an HMV voucher and a brown hen.

I gave some aftershave, DVDs, books, sweets and various toys for the ever expanding family!
