    Hi :)

Ok ; I'm looking for a program or tool that will do the following for me..

It should password-protect a certain directory (that I choose)
So that if you want to view the content of the directory, it asks for a password.

    thats it basically

Maybe it could be built in windows (the program builts itself in) , so that if you 'right-click' a directory it should show the option to lock the directory (with a choosen password)

Does anybody know of such a program ??

It dosn't need to be free, but I wouldn't mind it if it was

    Thanks
    L

You could use the security settings to allow only a certain user access.

    Hi

Thanks for the reply's so far

but I'm not searching for a way to do this in windows.. (with the user login's etc...)

But a program that will lock the directory with a password. to everyone.. even if the correct user is logged in..

I'm sure there is a program like this, I saw it somewhere in a store, but I can't remember the name...

    What is this 'EFS' ?

    Thanks
    L

PS: the kind of security I want is the same as if you would put a password on a ZIP file... but then on a normal directory

    thanks

Why not just create an uncompressed zip/rar archive (i recommend WinRAR). You can password protect it and it even has Explorer extensions so you can just right-click to unlock it, open it etc.
