    Hey Guys and Gals,
My TFT has died today - the backlight was flickering yesterday, and now won't stay on for more than 1 second.

Is it fixable? If yes, is it going to be worth it?
If no, then is it worth trying to sell it as dead (i.e. for parts)?
    - If no, is there anything I could salvage from it?
-- If no, is there anything fun I could do with it?

    Any ideas/thoughts welcome...

Backlights are relatively cheap to replace - have a phone around and try to get some quotes.

If you can't get that fixed, you can always make a cheap projector.

You have the strip the actual thin display-thing from the monitor and lay it on an over-head projector (the ones they use in schools - with the transparent sheets). There you go, cheap projector.

W/ a decent resolution (although that depends on the quality of said projector).

A good idea if you can't get a new backlight might be to try and fasten a bunch of cathodes to the back of the screen (inside) and see.
