looks like the asus a7n8x-e deluxe is properly fooked this time... always was a dodgy one as had a shutdown issue but was on 24/7 so didnt matter now looks like its finally died out...warrenty aint in no more so im probably gonna get another one as its awesome just dodgy batch i had but yeah anything nforce2 that would be better as my asus a7n8x-e deluxe is still like 70quid second hand :eyebrow: i will pay this however to save a reformat:D as its nice at the mo.
but open to ideas if you can find a better board with nforce2 for 70new or under... cause via gets hot doesnt it and isn't as reliable?

Where did you see that? Im rather sure you are talking out of ur backside matey. Have a look on ebay and see most of the good nForce2 boards aka Asus a7n8x series and Abit nf7-s are about £30 second hand, i should know i have owned both boards and i just sold my Abit last nite for £37.

    Ebay is your friend. :thumb:

Thats the thing, these items are clearly not worth that much anymore, so why pay that much? £60 gets you a decent-ish nforce4 board now-a-days. But clearly people who have payed that much clearly got ripped off. I remember paying £110 for mine but that was when the AXP range was the best and not 2 generation old technology like it is now.

    A7N8X-deluxe

    DFI - Infini NFII Ultra

    Abit NF7-Sv2.0 - Abit NF7 v2.0

    MSI - K7N2 Delta2-Platinum

Owned them all, I would take the Abit NF7-Sv2.0 all the time

I had an A7N8X Deluxe and loved it, in my brothers rig now.

They don't make them brand new any more AFAIK (though you might be lucky to find a retailer with one sitting in a dusty corner of their warehouse).

NF7-S V2.0 for all-round ability. A7N8X for pure stability. DFI NF2 Infini for serious OC powah. :thumb: :)
