    Hi guys,

I'm on a Sempron 2800+ and I've got a Winfast k8m890m2ma motherboard. What software utility should I use to overclock this?

I've tried google but didnt come up with any good results.

    Looking forward to you're replies.

Don't use software for the actual overclock. Windows overclocks sucks, do that stuff in BIOS.

You will need various pieces of software to monitor stability and temperatures and stuff like that though.

I'd say a good various few would be Speedfan for temp monitoring, Prime95 for long term testing, a memtest86 bootdisk/floppy for RAM testing, SuperPi for uber-quick testing and benchmarking, and OCCT for the half hour torture test. Orthos is also good for medium term testing. You should also get CPU-Z for finding CPU info.

That should do you, all those programs are free or freely available. Do overclocking in BIOS though, it's far more effective and you learn loads more.
